  1. That is a really neat trick getting an order to me today since I hung up the "Closed" sign yesterday. You must have already visited and had those items saved in your cart! It's okay though, you will still get them. Yeah those B-1 sheets I think were some of my best. It helped to have a friend who is a B-1 WSO. He even sent me a picture of him wearing a Fox One baseball cap while on a combat mission. Ben
  2. The caption just says 1969. It also shows that it has a mod, which I can't recall the designation, which added 4 diamond shaped antenna bumps just behind the radome. The series is by Squadron/Signal. The ISBN number is 0897473396
  3. There's a photo of it in Planes, Names and Dames Vol 3 on page 46. Canopy rails are black trimmed with white and crew names in white.
  4. Just a little over two weeks to go before shut down and thanks to an already better than expected response I have sold out of two sheets. Here's what I still have left: 72-016 F-16C/D Vipers from Midwestern Air Guard units (OH, KS, AR, IA) 1/72nd scale VF-33 MiG-Killing F-4J 48-007 Early B-1Bs in the Camo scheme (one each from the 4 SAC bases, one ACC variation, one test option) Almost gone! 48-008 Camo B-1 stencils 48-025 USMC F-8 Crusaders (VMF(AW)-212, VMFA(AW)-232 and VMFA(AW)-323) 32-006 USMC F-4Js in Vietnam (VMFA-232 and VMFA-334) 32-007 F-16C Air Guard Vipers at War (SD and IN)
  5. Take a look at this sales graph and think about the print 250 and see idea. This is typical behavior for every set that is released. Here's what would happen.... you would sell out of the first print run in just a few months. Then rush to reprint it just in time for demand to flatline.
  6. Voltaire, Everything Darren said is true about running a decal company and I would add that in my my opinion the reason the failure rate is high is two reasons: Many people do not understand or appreciate just how much or little demand really exists. 500 doesn't sound like very many to most people but they need to realize that "serious modeling" is just a niche within all modeling, and then it just breaks down into smaller and smaller segments, aircraft in general, certain aircraft type, an era, a country etc. So when you make a decal for a niche within a niche within a niche etc well then
  7. First, thank you to all who said something nice, I appreciate that. Second, the response in the past few days has been a pleasant surprise. I've sold more already than I thought I would all month. In fact, I was hoping to just use up some of my mailing supplies, well I'm going to have to go out and buy another box of envelopes because I've run out. That means of course that I need another 100 orders to use them up now. As far as remaining stock the following are quite low: 5 sets of 72-017 Air Guard Vipers at War 24 sets of 48-007 Camo B-1s 26 sets of 48-008 Stencils for Camo B-1s Ben
  8. My reason for getting out is that my interest in aviation and the hobby was destroyed by disingenuous duplicitous douchebags. Sorry tobiK but even I would like to have another set of my Gunfighter decals. I gave up one of the few I had to the artist who drew them after someone stole his entire decal portfolio (a huge binder filled with hundreds of decals) at a Nationals. Despite rumors of an "eBay stash" I actually keep only three of each of my decals. One for archives (a box under my bed), one to use (someday if I ever get interested again) and a back up. And in some other cases I don'
  9. From now until the end of December I am holding a clearance sale with most sets now deeply discounted to $5 each for domestic customers and $6 each for international customers, inclusive of postage. If you have an issue during checkout and are unsure of what to do, please send me an e-mail and we will work around it. Skylancer and Impact decal sets are not included in the sale and may require an additional postage charge. I will be shipping only once a week during the month. Paypal only. Many sets are close to selling out. 1:72nd - two Air National Guard F-16 sets, VF-33 F-4J MiG-killer
  10. For those guys it was primarily just black outlines. Ben
