  1. Well I didn't get it finished before the end of 2010, but I will get it finish before the end of the month at least. Well I got leading edges, gear bays and the ecm blisters painted. I went ahead an started to decal the vertical stabs and the ventral fins too. I need to apply a few more coats of future on the main body of the aircraft so that decals will sit just right also so that I can apply a wash on too her. I fixed the gab that I had between the canopy rails of the BB sidewalls and the kit. I also went ahead an attached the RIO's panel to the RIO's glare/dash, so all I need to do is

  3. Slick, You know that Darren came out with some resin seats for the Hawkeye to replace the kit ones. The Eduard set makes that pit really stand out, may have to get me a set for my Hawkeye. Stanton
  4. Dude how did you do the Tarp action on the Corsair. Excellent work brother. Stanton
  5. Thanks Guys, I was hoping to have it finish for before the end of 2011 but I had to go work the firehouse these past few days, who knows tomorrow I still have little over 24hrs left to get it done before 2011 if not oh well. Right now she is all masked up to get the leading edges, gun vent, and wheel bays masked for paint the correct colors. Tomorrow THERE will be an update. Happy New Year Stanton
  6. Hey Guys, Well it been about a month since I done any work on this project or even worked on her. I got the Aires exhaust for my birthday this month "Highly recommended". I have the base coat down of Medium Gray, Dark Ghost Gray, and Light Ghost Gray. Then I repainted the shunk strip down the spine to the nose of the jet. I've had the vertical fins and ventral fin painted with MM enamel Gloss Black, but the spine to nose was painted with Poly Scale Enamel Grimmy Black which comes out flat. Then I applied a clear coat to it and it came out almost shinny as the MM enamel Gloss Black if n

  8. Jason, What part of Bean-town do you live in, also how much snow do you have right up in there. Twong, I am sorrry for the lose of the job, I am kinda in the same boat here too in Northern VA I have a college degree really no bites. The snow blower is my dads from last year, matter of fact they are in the process of looking moving south in the next year so they can retire. I wish you best on the job hunt. Stanton
  9. That S-2 looks Great with the 100lbs or 250lbs on the hard points....gives me an idea when the S-2 is released from Kinetic here real soon. Stanton
  10. Hell I hoping for the Nor'easter here in DC area, make some money snow blowing my neighborhood driveways....Little extra modeling money ;) but it looks like you got twong. Wish you the best buddy. Stanton
  11. Does anyone know when this conversion going to be out for sale to the public, for some reason this 72 scale conversion looks fun even though I don't do 72nd builds but I will give this one a try. Stanton
  12. Well guys I got all the main wings, vertical, and horitzontal stabs assembled so all I need to do was paint and attach them to the aircraft. I went ahead an painted the vertical stabs gloss black and red fin caps. Which I will have to say is gloss colors are not my friend nor do I car for them. I will do my best but I do think I might of rush this build. I decided to take her to my Grumman Paint Barn for her pre-shading, Light Ghost Gray, and Black Spine, and the Dark Ghost Gray on forward section of the nose. Hopefully in-between all the pre-Thanksgiving cleanup I will take her back ou

  14. I am kinda at a stand still here since I have a bday coming and I want to order me some Aires GE nozzles/shrouds for my build. I have all the the major components build minus the main & nose gear. I guess I will start painting an decaling the vertical stabs & the ventral fins that have to Gloss Black, then a nice coat of future and then decals then a partial final coat of future for the ventrals and vertical stabs. Then if time permits of the next day before the Big Turkey Day I should be able to get too the gears & gear doors. Stay tune for the next update with pics which will

  17. I just been able to plug along with these Trumpy cats which are not that bad at all to build. Well I was able to get the forward fuselage attached too the main portion of the fuselage. Which tried not to glue all the halves of the forward fuselage together since I was trying something new a way by gluing spine halves together with the main portion of the fuselage. I need to add some plastic card between canopy locks you see on in pics. Hope you guys enjoy my Grumman Iron Works Plant....:sleazybig: Stanton
  18. Well I dont know what too say, the VF-31 jet was an 11 month project since I was unemployed and then I got a job which I had to go on medical leave for my arm (had to have a mass removed off my right arm). 19. Hey Guys, Not much of one here just got the main gear wheel wells installed the intakes, and the two halves glued together. Plus I went ahead before I had my surgery I got out of the attic my Wolfpack Dual Winders set so that on the right side I have my dual winders pylon and left side I just have my half pylon. But for some reason I have been thinking of making this Reaper a maintenance jet with gun bays, radar, and the wing sweep area too. I don't know since with the wingspan is BIG that may take up space I am very limited on. Also I still need to paint the nose gear bay and get the fo

  21. Fanatic, In the "A" kit is a sprue with all the necessary to build the "B" pit. It is the "M" sprue in the "A" kit even comes with the parts for the sparrowhawk HUD too. Well the "B" is hold for a couple days due too surgery today on my arm. Gotta have my right arm in a sling for 48hrs... :( so i dont know if i cant do any modeling with it might try tomorrow. Just keep up the Great Work Fanatic I will following you build since I do believe I have another "D" on xmas list, Ive been tooling with the idea doing a Low Viz Tomcatter Jet. Stanton
  22. Roger that Fanatic, That really sucks that you had to strinken from the build process due too the fall, cause from the pics Ive seen was that you where on the downward way of finishing her up. Well you need to post the pics of the Part Duex Build. I am in the process of doing a VF-101 F-14B, since I have the "A" kit with the "B" pit in it. Good luck dude.... Stanton
  23. Sillymay, Your best bet is to buy the Wolfpack SJU-17A seats for both the Tomcat and the Super Hornet. Also if you want to purchase some weapons I would go for the Wolfpack GBU-38's and Black Box GBU-12/16's mainly the GBU-12's is what you mainly want unless you build a quad-bomber like VF-211 was a quad with GBU-12/16's. Also I just started a "D" as "B" by adding 95% of the parts out of a Black Box F-14B pit that was a Tamiya Cat. I know I haven't seen any news for any aftermarket I wish there was one for the Super Hornet to build a current ACS bird. HTH Stanton
