  1. It's just a modern, mass-produced set of wheels, irrespective of how much it cost. Top Gear makes entire programmes out of destroying cars, how is this different? Cheers, Bill.
  2. Has anyone found good references on the Blohm & Voss Bv-141B? I have David Myhra's X-planes book on the subject, and while useful for some details, it's a bit lightweight overall. The Karo-as kit I'm working on has different chord along the parallel parts of the wing, is the correct figure published anywhere? Other shape anomalies are shared between this, the Airfix and HiPM kits, the slim fuselage and engine nacelle being a dead giveaway. There are at least three sets of plans online, none of which give me any confidence in their accuracy, Cheers, Bill.
  3. It featured in the 2010 releases, and Airfix have been showing off the test sprues at shows since last summer. I don't have one yet, but those test shots were very nicely done. There's a Seafire XVII on the way to keep it company, Cheers, Bill.
  4. Last gasp I expect before we see a new Vb, (based on the latest Mk1?) Cheers, Bill.
  5. Parts count of 35 matches the old MkVb, Cheers, Bill.
  6. Thanks very much for all the pointers, I'll make an effort to source what's been suggested. I have the Warpain book, and a recommendation on a set of plans (Nexus) so I'll hopefully make some headway in the new year, Cheers, Bill.
  7. While I'm unable to do any proper modelling following surgery on my hand (carpal tunnel decompression), I've started to ponder building a Whitley. I have a few kits available to me in 1/72 and 1/48, but all are a bit rough. I could do with some recommendations on reading material, and also regarding plans - are there any which are considered to be accurate? I've found a few downloadable drawings of unknown provenance, but the only ones I can find commercially are the old Aviation News drawings, always something of a mixed bag at best! Cheers, Bill.
  8. Don't shoot the messenger, but there are details here Not an area in which I have any personal expertise, Cheers, Bill.
  9. The Spitfire, Hurricane and Stuka are all Revell's old mouldings. They already seemed to have been around forever by the time I started building models in the 1970s. The He-111 is an old Frog moulding, which was acquired by Revell after that company folded in the mid-1970s. It's not a bad kit for it's time, but the Italeri kit pushed it to second best a long time ago, Cheers, Bill.
  10. John McIllmurraycan be contacted at: j_s_mcillmurray@talk21.com The details are on the AIMS website, on the Prices page, Cheers, Bill.
  11. The landing light in the leading edge of the wing is usually plated over on rocket carrying Beaufighters. Cheers, Bill.
  12. Ah- found it now, thanks. I saw the kit when the Royal Class Bf-110 was released, but I found it hard to justify buying the whole package. The panel alone looks like an interesting kit, I'll keep an eye out for it's release, Cheers, Bill.
  13. Have to agree with this. While technically obsolete, plenty of shops in the UK still have stock at (or below) retail price. Cheers, Bill.
  14. Do you have a link to that? I've stumbled around Eduard's site withough finding anything, Cheers, Bill.

The kit was on sale from many traders in the UK last weekend at the IPMS Nationals. When it reaches the US is anyone's guess though, Cheers, Bill.
