Dead links for me too! :(

One is Air Force....the other is Navy. There's s story to each though. The Air Force stows their C-130 props in the + position if the plane is not going to fly or is I.E....statically stowed for an Air Show. When the A/C is going to fly during the day or within a certain amount of time....the props go into the x position. Same with the P-3 although the prop positions are reversed depending on whether the A/C is about to fly that day or not.

For me...the Monogram kit rocks. But then I've always been a sucker for a great deal. I find the R/M kit much more interesting to detail and build. The only negative is the raised panel lines. But with some modeling skill you can work around this. I agree with the other post. The R/M offering is just more "Phantomish". And thus....meaner. And cheaper. Easier to get replacement parts...etc. (a dime a dozen at swap shows). Peace.

OPPS!....Sorry I just found the thread.

Rob....is this image in the true 32nd scale? Thanks, Paul

WOW! Very cool. I'm not familiar with making my own. You got an article?....steps?...etc. I don't have Photoshop on my computer either. Thanks for the Image!

I was wondering if anyone made a sheet of ALCM decals. I want the older type of stenciling with the "warning" badges on the side. This is a pic of what I'm talking about: HERE Thanks ahead of time.

Freakin gorgeous! Great work and thanks for the tips!!

Heller's line of 707 AWACS are great models. Anyone know if there is a 1/72 Navy E-6B Mercury out there? Maybe a Heller offering? An upgrade kit somewhere maybe? Thanks

I mean think about it... C-5A & B's selling for over $100.00 on eBay!? That's loco. Each year that price has gone up too. They made a fantastic C-17....I'm thinking they could make a lot of money on a C-5A,B and/or M. 144 of course. And how bout an accurate current C-130!? I just read read about the AC-130J being developed at Eglin. Man....that thing is *wicked*! I'd buy 10 of em. So use the Italeri molds already!! Just retool the sponsons...doors...scoops...engines...antennas...etc., etc. With some serious decals and stencils! Finally....just dreaming here. I'd pay serious money for a

Ya know...I tend to think that if Revell would pay half attention to ARC....HS and Modeling Madness, ETC they MAY not even have to take these polls. Just look at what people are physically working on...what's in their stash...what floats their boat AND what they say they want. Geez Louise...it ain't rocket science! OH!....and did I mention what's hot and sells on eBay.....??
-
GREAT "poll" by Revell. Great stuff that's been asked for for a long time. Take the time to scroll. Its worth it. >>>> *HERE*
-
Now THAT is really cool!....even for a 40's-50's design. Man you've GOT to do a Revell C-17! Thunderbirds and MAC gray & white.
-
Thanks Netz! I have yet to try it. I'm sure its a learning curve for sure!
-
DAM!
-
Jennings....please tell me you're going to make a Thunderbirds scheme for the C-17! Or both the Blue Angels & Thunderbirds. But the TB's would be the Bomb!
-
Mason...how hard do you press as you roll the wheel? Do you have a rule of thumb? Paul
-
But then...ya gotta wonder. Academy seems to be the master of different versions of their kits. Hey...I'm Ok with the Italeri molds but with new sprues for different versions. Works for me. Hmmmm....
-
Mason....didn't you post a thing on how you riveted the helo? Got a link? Paul
-
OMG...you guys are killin me. That is gorgeous! I'm a C-17 nut. They come into Dobbins pretty often. That MAC gray and white scheme gives me tingles. I want to see a Thunderbirds scheme too.
-
Thanks for the tip guys! I love the C-130J USCG. Will probably take the plunge as soon as I find one at a more sane price. I mean...$60.00 for the old Italeri design?? Psscchhe...you gotta be kiddin me. But I'll probably do it once I see more here in Atlanta...and a little lower price.
-
Awesome...thanks! How did you find this so quickly? I've been looking for at least 1.5 hours!
