The 493d is the Grim Reapers, we are the ones with the "Trust us you are dead shrits" And I hope you came around to the side to buy your shirt from the maintainers, that is where I was selling them. Honestly, did the jets look okay, we didn't have much time to clean them when we got there Friday. We had a hugely great time at the show and are already making plans to try and come up again next year. JMC I got a couple of T-shirts from you guys! ;) The jets looked great and it's always good to see the Eagle at Leuchars.tip for next year is bring more t-shirts

  9. i dont think that he flew a Vb, the one that i have in the back of my display case was one of the first models that i built after 'upping my game' after learning all the tips and tricks from ARC. and stephen, yep, that blue nose spit was one of the first of many kits that i built with that colour blue somewhere applied, just becouse i like that shade of blue.....the boys from the club always take the extract the urine cos of that. ;) I remember you telling me at Telford :D Stephen

  14. The top.I scribed a groove behind the cockpit as there's one on the real thing for the canopy to slide along (Thanks to Ted Taylor for that one :) ) Stephen

Almost ready for the paint shop or at least primer.I used spars made from sprue for the wings for a bit more strength and they went on quite well.I had a LOT of work with the airbrake and I've lost a lot of the raised rivet detail on it due to sanding.I wonder if the kit is designed to have the brakes open.......   17. Yeah, I left at 2.00 because the BBMF/heritage flying was cancelled, and my camera threw a wobbly (and to miss the crowds at the end). Did the SHAR flying display turn up? It was in the programme, but not the website and no sign of SHARS in the flying pan. Scored a BBMF set from Wonderland for £10 though! Oh, the AAC Apaches (and most other helicopters) were hard to photograph as well. BTW, see my new post regarding F3 colours! I got there at 11.30 so unless the SHAR flew before then because there was a GR.7 display in the afternoon but no SHAR. The Typhoon and GR.4 did two displays a
  18. I'd agree except I was trying to get closeups of the F-15's and a couple of C's were at an inconvenient angle.I enjoyed the displays by the Merlin,Typhoon,Red Arrows and Hercules.great to see a Spitfire,B-26 and Mustang there as well.Shame at the No-show by the BBMF. Stephen
