Hello, this is a build I have made in 2012-2014. I will present here a step by step process to make this kit. The TA-4SU is a Skyhawk version especially developped for Singapore Air Force. It is a 2-seater aircraft with two separated cockpits ... the fuselage has been lengthened by 72 cm (which is usefull for 1/72 modellers - see Wikipedia page) The raw material (except a lot of Evergreen, Tamyia putty and Gunze surfacer) was two Skyhawk kits from Fujimi : an A-4C (white plastic, for example for the nose) and an A-4E/F (grey plastic) for the rear cockpit. Changing this up this week and going to be looking at another one of Tamiya's small 1/100th scale aircraft kits with their A-4E Skyhawk kit.

My 11th and last build of 2020 is a Vietnam War-era A-4F Skyhawk. I added the APS-107 RHAW sensor under the nose and armed the Skyhawk for the SAM Suppression mission which the US Navy calls 'Iron Hand'. Decals are from Superscale. Painted in acrylics and given slightly heavier weathering with oils to depict a war-time bird. With fellow CVW-21 stablemate from VF-211 Checkmates. NP-103 wears markings from 1968 however. A full build log and more photos can be found on my s

Good morning to all! I'm glad to present my last work... a restoration of an old Hasegawa A-4 that I built ten years ago. I decided to put it back to workbench due to the "crack" of the fuselage: 21616109_10210113589216277_2086911637920727775_n by valerio, su Flickr While I was at it, I scratchbuilt a new UHF dorsal hump (the one in the Hasegawa kit is wrong in dimensions and shape) using the cutting plotter: A-4SU Restoration_11 by valerio, su Flickr A-4SU Restoration_10 by valerio, su Flickr There was other details to fi

Greetings! Does anyone know of a GPU-2 gun pod in either 1/48 or 1/32? With nearly every Marine AH-1 available in 1/48, a big Bronco in 1/32 and soon to be another in 1/48, I wonder why this pod hasn't been produced? I'll have to check dimensions, but I wonder if I could make one out of a SUU-23. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Semper, Ski

This sheet seems pretty rare, and I keep missing it on eBay! If anyone has a set, or even partial set depending on what is left, please let me know. Thanks!

Having just finished a Hasegawa F-14 I was ready for something quick and that to me means a Monogram kit. The Monogram 1/48 A-4 has pretty good detail, looks good and I have several. This was an out of the box experience for me, even the decals. Onto the pics.

Two years later than anticipated but finally have the A-4 Skyhawks sheets coming in 1/48. The focus again is on covering Vietnam specific aircraft and like usual with AOA an attempt was to cover a range of markings used by specific squadrons throughout their time in Vietnam. The majority of these schemes have never been done before, and some that have weren't previously done accurately. There will be three parts of "Battle Scooters", with each having 12 or 13 options for A-4C, A-4E, and A-4F Skyhawks. A complete set of data/stencils also is included. $20 each Pri
