Adam Posted August 20, 2009 Share Posted August 20, 2009 Your SPAD is looking fantastic. I totally agree with the weathering you have done. These ol' birds threw out a huge amount of oil (up to 5 US Gall's per hour!). All that oil has to go somewhere. All the photos I've seen of VNAF SPAD's show them pretty worn. I did the "Sock it to Em" bird of George Marrett and weathered with oils. The result is very similar to yours. Well done so far and I hope you are enjoying the build as much as I did.
