I just received the same email. I find it hard he would be contacting a competitor of this type of organization as well. The company he refers to does have an email address and I have bought from him as well in the past, but it rings to a persons house. I would not do this as well, it is not realistic in the first place since I can do the type of business he is requesting from an internet connection anywhere in the world. Also the company is US based and I do not think they would use someone for the US region remotely. THE MAIN QUESTION IS WHY ME?!?!?

Yeah, I avoid these things like the plague. I cannot believe people use to fall for the "you won the world lottery . . . now give us $20k so you can get your $50 million."

In the past I have screwed with a couple of them, like just make up stuff like for a name Phil McCock and numbers like 076-555-6969.

Good times . . .

While it is tempting to respond to these jerks and yank their chains for awhile, it is best to just delete their emails and forget the whole thing. You don't want to validate your email or other information for them, as you will only open yourself for a never ending string of this nonsense. You also could be involved in legal action at some point down the road.

Whoever this joker is he ain't too bright.

A simple Google search brings up this thread with all the comments.

If he's not sussed that it's a wind-up if you continue this I don't foresee a very successful career in internet scamming.

You could try and figure out the IP address of the sender.

No guarantee that the address is of the actual sender but maybe worth a try.

Yep, I got it too! I hadn't checked my email for several days. The typos, grammar, and style make it seem unnatural for a native English speaker.

Although I did google the person's name and the company's name and both seem to be 100% real, just stolen identity. I actually found this thread through a google search of "Max Zostautas."

I actually got it twice (guess because over a few months last year I had purchased two items from Max). First was the message I posted earlier in this thread and then I got it again Monday. The only difference was the email address had been slightly changed.
