drhornii
Not sure on the markings yet, I have the "Eagle Strike decals" Corsair collection. I have not built a Corsair kit in 25 years and that was the 1/32 Revell kit.... Fighting with mixing the best "Salmon" color, not 100% satisfied with the color yet. drhornii
I was not happy with my first attempt at "salmon" color as shown in the tail wheel housing. I like this one a little better. Next, the Birdcage Corsairs did not have the step(hole) in the RH inboard flap, simple fix.

rightwinger26
That's looking fantastic!! That's been one of my favorite models to build over the years, the fit is great and it's a mean looking bird. Can't wait to see more!
drhornii
Decided to add a base coat of Alclad to help out in weathering chipped paint. First I primed with Tamiya fine white primer. Next a base coat of Tamiya gloss black. Finally Alclad Semi-matte Aluminum. I left the canvas covered areas primed white. Edited July 4, 2012 by drhornii
rightwinger26
I take it your using the salt method for chipped paint? I love that technique, it looks so good. Can't wait for the next update. Bill
