OIF Blackhawk - 1/35th UH-60L

Recommended Posts

Recently wrapped up a nearly 1-year project converting the Kittyhawk 1/35th scale MH-60S into a US Army UH-60L.    Had a ton of aftermarket and scratchbuilt bits, also replaced every one of those ridiculous recessed "divots" with either a .010 mm solder ball or Archer rivet decals.

Love the little details such as the pro-seal around the eye brow window and APR-39 antennas! Very well done 11Bee

LOL, I posted this build on a FB page that's for current / ex-Blackhawk pilots and crew.    Got about 200 comments, the majority of those were with folks blown away by my replication of a shitty pro-seal job.  Have to admit, it was flattering to get so many good comments from the guys and gals who fly / maintain these helos every day.

That’s awesome! You pretty much nailed the look, bud. Back when I crewed, we had no concept of masking our sealant jobs, just an index finger and spit. Always turned out looking like butt😂
