dragan_mig31
now guys i have a question.did the AJ-37 viggen carry the underbelly gun as the jaktviggen.i managed to find a spare part that was intended for the jaktvvigen kit becouse this mine viggen is actualy a jaktviggen kit done as SK viggen two seater becouse the heller kit supplies the parts for all the variants in the box.now i dont have the assembly and i am restoring this kit from memories..... Johan C
Hello dragan_mig 31, now guys i have a question.did the AJ-37 viggen carry the underbelly gun as the jaktviggen.i managed to find a spare part that was intended for the jaktvvigen kit becouse this mine viggen is actualy a jaktviggen kit done as SK viggen two seater becouse the heller kit supplies the parts for all the variants in the box.now i dont have the assembly and i am restoring this kit from memories..... The AJ-37 did not have the underbelly gun as the JA-37 had, only the JA-37 had this. The AJ-37 could carry gun pods under the wings, but I don't think that possibility was used so often. Your Viggen looks very promising, I look forward to follow this build in the future. /Johan C
Mumbles
I have one of these in my stash, so will be watching with interest. Good luck with the splinter camo! Mine will be in the greys when it emerges.....

dragan_mig31
the front windshield just doesnt fit well.this is becouse it is a restoration and for sure will not fit like a brand new kit.i had to butcher the plastic and add styren bits and fill it with the crappy revell putty.i also made a part of the right wing that was damaged and i had to cut it off.the hud was scratchbuilt and the pitotube made from hypodermic needle(i think this is the name). Troll
Always a treat to see a Viggen being built! The AJ-37 did not have the underbelly gun as the JA-37 had, only the JA-37 had this. The AJ-37 could carry gun pods under the wings, but I don't think that possibility was used so often. It wasn't that uncommon actually. In the early nineties I served as a mech. on the AJ-37. We hung the Aden gunpods several times. We even got to go to the nearby gunrange and watch a live round practice. The range officer called one of the pilots and told him that they had a crowd in the watchtower, looking for a fly-by. We were treated to a few low level buzzes and then a conclusive head on pass, where the pilot went straight for the tower and broke off at the last second..! I remember one of my mates saying, "what if one of those guns has one round left..!" Anyway, it was a treat! dahut
Dragan, you never fail to impress! You do a better job of restoring these things than some do on them when new. Again, I ask - where do you get the models to restore?
janman
Wow, it will be interesting to see how the camo developes from this point!
Andre
For those interested, the 1/72nd Marivox Saab 105 kit has Aden gun pods that (I think...) are of the same type as those carried by the AJ37. Cheers, Andre
