Request: 1/48 Langley Eagle Sunset
USAFsparkchaser replied to Captain Tyler's topic in Caracal Models
Let me help and see if these might be useful https://spruebrothers.com/afd48006-1-48-afterburner-decals-f-15c-eagle-demo-eagles-1-1st-fw-langley-afb-48006/ this sheet has the Wing King on it https://www.reidairpublishing.com/decals/elegant-eagles-part-i unfortunately I have not seen any 27 Fighter Squadron options, but this manufacturer who did the Afterburner decals has this one on his FB, and not sure if it will ever be released. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/5ommibzuWCt4f5kC/?mibextid=WC7FNe -
Thinking of switching to these paints and thinning with Mr leveling thinner. I want to mostly do black basing and am confused on what to use for the black. Do I just use the Mr.Color flat black, do they need a specific primer and if so what gets mixed with the primer? Mr. rapid thinner? I hear good things about MRP, but Mr color is more accessible for me.

CD144028 - 1/144 B-52 General Purpose Markings
USAFsparkchaser replied to KursadA's topic in Caracal Models
Will be getting some of those. Should include SAC shields all colors and maybe even some bomb/wing emblem shields and serial numbers . Could do some SIOP 1 with some of those decals options mentioned. -
Am watching the first episode, freaking awesome.

Is it ok to shoot lawyers and acrylics using the same air brush or is it recommended to have 2 air brushes for this. I use mission model acrylics, but would like to also spray Tamiya laquers and Mr Hobby Laquers.

When did they start to get the raised ECS vents, and how many versions of rear instrument panels went into the F models, and when where older models converted and are they all converted to the same block now?

New tool F-16AM MLU in 1:48 announced by Kinetic
USAFsparkchaser replied to falcon91352's topic in Jet Modeling
My D version arrived today, and man I have to say it looks awesome compared to the older kinetic version. Sorry Tamiya you dropped the ball and you have no need to put a 2 seat version out. -

So I am putting a set of nuclear ALCM’s on my BUFF. I have the Wolfpak cruise missile set, but after googling this missile i have seen ALCMS with no star and bars and no “US AIR FORCE” on. So am wondering if these are training rounds or where these markings removed from the missiles. I am doing an 85-87 time frame SIOP 1 dark grey nose scheme. Don’t know how to post images here but I have a link with one photo I’ve found showing no markings on the ALCM and the -52 is SIOP 1 https://www.military.com/equipment/agm-86-conventional-air-launched-cruise-missile

Does anyone have a source for 1/72 pitot probes? Looking to put them on B-52’s. Thanks.

Also if you didn’t plan it, this model needs nose weight.

Vancouver B.C. Model sellers?

He has gotten back to me. -
I got a box of decals today, yes a box not an envelope. Looked over everything. 2 things. If you do Jolly Roger you can give it a SIOP 2 scheme. I have a photo of it in SIOP 2, but I have no idea how to post images here, or if it’s even copyrighted. Second I believe the grey color for the modified SIOP 1 is FS36081 not 36118, please correct me if I’m wrong. I just did a SIOP 1 KI Sawyer aircraft using 36081 on the nose. Overall am extremely happy with this order and looking forward to more 52’s. Have a good vacation.
