  1. Another beauty, Swash! I love your weathering, always subtle and never over done. Well done, Sir.
  2. More gems, thanks for sharing, Jonah!!
  3. That’s how I’m going to build mine. I’ll leave off the strakelets, and hopefully Caracal will include a 42nd BW jet in his upcoming G/H release. I’ll have to source 12 harpoons in 1/72 though
  4. 1/72 as far as I know but I’ll confirm. Edit: I confirmed with Li, 1/72 for both.
  5. Here’s a pic with all the replacement G parts; nose, tail gun and strakelets. Hopefully we’ll see some test shots in a few days.
  6. I chatted with Li, a Modelcollect designer, several weeks ago and he mentioned the B-1 along with an XB-70 are both still in the planning stages. The B-52 line is consuming most of their time currently me thinks.
  7. FYI, MC just informed me the G correction set is delayed a bit so they can get the strakelet parts corrected. Their final 3D drawing was flawed so they’re working to get it right.
  8. I don’t remember where I’ve read it, here or FB but MC won’t repop the modern G for several years so everything on the market is uncorrected. I suspect that when they finally do, it will have at least a different kit number and possibly new box art along with the correct parts. That will make it easy to distinguish the two. So, for now everything on the market needs the $15 correction set, unless you purchase the Buffmaster resin set at $75. The G was obviously a rough launch, the H is MUCH better!
  9. Looks like MC is coming out with an operation Linebacker II early G. The only differences I see are the early nose, shortened tail gun area, added ECM sensors above the gun and 27ea. 750lb mk-117 GP bombs.
  10. Here are some common types of dischargers, they obviously vary by manufacturer.
  11. Here's something that's never been done in decal form before. These are Presidential/VIP CH-47C's from the mid 70's. Link http://www.chinook-helicopter.com/chinook/presidential.html
  12. @engineman took these shots of the H nose and tail. The nose is the same as in the new G correction set. The tail looks pretty good over all. Also, the dog hair gives a good reference for the scale of the panel lines, or maybe its just one of Scott's nose hairs
  13. I think @Mstor is right, The vertical stab flares mid cord and follows the crown of the upper fuselage which looks like a "hump".
  14. The tail looks good but the strakelets need considerable adjustments.
  15. Very impressive! The model is pretty much perfect but that stand takes it next level! Is that stand powder coated? The finish is flawless, well done!
  16. @modelcollect Several kit manufacturers have partnered with decal manufacturers recently to produce excellent kit markings which are then included in the released kit. I would venture to say http://caracalmodels.com/ would be an excellent partner
  17. Colors are left to right shown against new 737-900 factory paint. A) Sherwin Williams touch-up paint supplied to the company B) Model Master #1772 Blue Angels Blue enamel FS15050 C) Model Master #1719 Insignia Blue enamel FS35044 It's funny that the touch-up paint supplied by SW is the furthest from the actual color. Blue Angels Blue looks pretty close and Insignia Blue is also too dark. Hope this helps a bit.
  18. Several of the Drawdecal sheets recommend Model Master Blue Angels blue or Tamiya X4 blue but I can't independently confirm it. https://www.shopdrawdecal.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=20-737-146
  19. Any news on this sheet, Kursad? Looks like Luckymodel now has the Modelcollect B-52H in-stock.
  20. Neither at this time, I was just thinking out loud I suppose. I didn’t realize the shoot down was prior to their deployment, thanks for the insight. Oh, and apologies for the attempted high jacking of the thread.
  21. That’s a substantial load out! Any speculation as to what the possible air to air threats might have been for the command to order this load out?
  22. Ya, I see what you mean. I guess I was speaking of the tail gun area specifically, which is pretty darn close, considering how is was originally issued
