  8. Some formation flying from our local Beechcraft owners.
  9. From my somewhat limited experience with the hasegawa boxings of the F-4EJ. There are three basic types, The F-4EJ which is just the F-4E with what look to be like the same wings that are in the J kit. The RF-4EJ (not the dedicated recon version) which is just the EJ kit with extra trees for three types of recon pods. The EJ Kai kit has the correct tail with the RWR bulges and different wing tips for the enhanced radar. They also give you a different front IP, and the taller antenna found on the kai. Shawn, what color are you going to use for the lime green? I a going to do my with testor

  14. I finally finished applying all of the decals :banana:/>, now to start on the final assembly work. I was using canopy from another Phantom for test fitting.

  16. I've got some decals for Marine One and been itching to build a helo, count me in.
  17. Finished decaling the left side, which left me feeling a bit cross eyed so I went to work on the crew and seats. Still have a bit of drybrushing on the seats to do.
  18. Thanks guys :thumbsup:/> I started decaling the left front and three hours later ended up with this, still have a long ways to go. Except for the shark mouth I've used the kit decals and the formation lights color is way too yellow so I'll have to figure out a way to fix that.
  19. Finished washing and added some scuff marks around the cockpit. I think I'll leave it at that. I'm going to go after the NMF areas with some Tamiya weathering powders (set D) to age those metal panels. Then start the tedious task of adding a gazillion stencils.
  20. I put some more paint on the Kai, still have to do the right side.
  21. I've got it painted. Seem's every pic I've seen of the Kai in this scheme the paint over the engines is faded pretty severly with the panels touched up. I'm trying to replicate that by first using white tack strings placed over the panel lines then painting the panels with lighter shade. Time counsuming but considering my up close airbrush work isn't that great seems to work pretty well.
