I dont know if he was yanking my chain or not....

  4. i was just going off the info on the destructions for that one " In 1961 the A4E recieved the J52-P-6A engine as the major modification from the J65 engine of the A 4G. It has a modified air intake shape because of the new powerplant" .. If its not noticable then im not going to worry!! 6. can remeber when "K Mart" used to sell kits... remeber the old bagged kits as well.... use to love the three colour moulded "matchbox" kits with the paint instructions on the back and the clear window so you could really see it was moulded in three colours.... chuckles....remeber mowing my nan and pops lawn when i was 7 -8 and then going down to the toy shop with newly aquired pocket money to buy the matchbox " brewster buffaloe" and the heinkel he 100.... sitting on the driveway in the sun building models....ok... nostalgia over.... build em i say!!!!

  8. Got the same kit, going to do RAAF version, so will be looking to see how you do yours!!! chuckles....on all the warning decals , ( which are in japanese on mine) did your aftermarket decals come with all necessary warning decals in english? thats my only annoyance....that and a fella i have been chatting to was saying that the aussie variant didnt have the "gatling" type cannon but was instead twin barrells? im unsure on this and cant find any relevant info....one thing i liked about this aircraft was in the book " G Suit" on the israeli 6 day war... if i remeber correctly the quote was that
  9. wow! I have seen that kit here in my local hobby shop... bit pricey but after looking at your troubles and fiddling .... im no where near ready for such a patience testing task!!!!... but alll that aside.... very nice!!! they are a nice looking aircraft... and to say im jealous you have been in one is an understatement!!!!to date ive only been in a Beaver and a coupla blanaks

  12. G'day. have a hasegawa 1/32 A4 E/f. im certain we used the G models off the HMAS melbourne. my question is this. I know the G model had different air intakes and a "bent " refuelling probe... but what other major differences were there? on my instructions it shows there is a small radar? lump under the nose, its also displyed on my aftermarket decal sheet, but on the video i will post there is an abscence of it... any help would be appreciated.... love watching the water after the first A4 takes off.... wicked!!! also some good footage but it has n
  13. there was a case in qld of a bloke wanting to make his puppy look "tougher" so he cut it s ears off and docked it s tail with scissors. he actually got gaol time for it and i hope he got seriously hangins too good for em. do it the Aussie way. flog crap out of em and tie em naked to a pole over a meat ants nest. add honey.... im dont really like cats... more of a dog person... but that right there is just beyond description. I hope the locals find him before the authorities do. even the stupidest person can say stop thats hurting me.... makes you wish animals could do the same....
  14. air cooled 4 cylinder 4 stroke engines.... sighs.... dribbles.....
  15. OK. just for those who havnt seen one....:D heres the zero and the spitfire... going to do the spit in RAAF, was a pity it didnt come with clive caldwells markins ( CR ...C) but i might look into that. have found an RAAF website that lists aircraft type, serial numbers, and histories of paticular aircraft....pretty handy if your into the RAAF/RAN/Army. zero bits and the spitty and your right about the prices!!!!!!! i paid $130 australian for each of these kits.... who said this was a cheap hobby!!!!!!! but then again....enginebikes are pretty expensive too......( tries
  16. one thing that interests me... the amount of oxygen bottles it carries... and it is soooo thin through the chord of the fuse (if the tamiya kits are close to accurate). as i said my 1/32 otsu makes the zero look like a weight watchers success story, and again with the hayabusa.... cant really compare it to the kawasaki, but yeah it and the spitfire should turn out nice.... the colours for the interior of the zero are interesting.... going to have to do the ol' mix up in a seperate jar for the rear fuse.
  17. NICE ONE!! yeah just want to do a good job on it!!!! (not like the beaufighter!!!! so many things went wrong there.)
  18. G'day all. just wondering if anyone has built this kit? will try and put pics up of the kit it has quite a lot of photo etch and accessories... including the Radio wire!!!, steel hinges for undercarriage doors that "catch" the wheels as they fold into the 'plane, wheel struts are spring loaded and screw into the wings themselves... seperate cockpit tub ( for want of a better word) and im actually quite surprised how small it is compared to my otsu and hyabusa. and to put it mildly im frothing at the mouth and wanting to start it... but im forcing myself not too until i have EVERYTHING i need..
  19. If money were no option id just get the band to come to my house!!!! chuckles.... might be hard to get the original line up of The Who ,or The Small Faces but.... chuckles
  20. always liked the skyhawk. sex on wings.and that is a nice looking example.
  21. yes did the 17 and 19 ages ago....really liked the detail... one thing i could never work out tho is the 17? from memory didnt come with ejector seat handles... vaguley remeber somewhere womeone saying they didnt have ejector seats... am unsure on that one as i'd hate to bail out.......
  22. like your mig.( shenyang?) if thats the trumpeter kit...A : its good looking ...B: isnt it an awesome kit?
  23. yup. chuckles.. agreed. didnt really think when i threw it together. learning curve .... always a learning curve.... thanks!!
  24. Nah not really, i just put it up to see if anyone had any help for the weathering.... normally do them a "bit" used but this one i went all out.....im not happy with the direction of shading was trying for the " ive been left in the wind and rain and never repainted" .....it is a slap together kit i didnt do anything special on it.... lost motivation on my 1/24ths and needed a quick sorta satisfying fix.... it is just a trial... thanks for your comment tho, i really only like the exhaust on it....
