managed to cancel the HLJ orders and switch them over to Red Star... has anyone ordered from them before? any issues? i love getting stuff from HLJ.. everything is packed nice and nothings damaged.

yep, shrink wrapping is only done by the distributors.. all original kits from the asian manufacturers come with only the inner bags sealed. also, i find that if you choose the cheapest shipping (or shipping in general from China and most HK places), the packages will come looking like they've been sat on/dropkicked. having ordered extensively from Japan (using EMS), the packages always arrive looking like they have been hand delivered by the company.

have you tried the resin nozzles from eduards limited edition fighting/striking eagles kits? they come with PE actuators and the detail looks quite superb.

for the second sheet of set 1, are the white decals printed on a clear sheet? or is it just a white decal sheet that's coloured blue and you just cut out the white parts?

why? i buy all the original books and i like to keep mine in mint condition.. if i'm gonna use it for reference, i don't want to flatten it out and have a clumsy book laying around. i would prefer to have it on an ipad or up on a big screen so i can swipe or manipulate it to zoom etc.

I did.. but I ordered direct from Japan and I chose EMS shipping as I always do when purchasing from there. Shipping came out to 2900yen which is about $37cad.
