hi, on the Academy 1:48 F-22A box it mentioned latest air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles included I have the kit but didnt find any air-to-surface missiles, any idea what is it? Could Academy be including some air-to-surface missiles in later boxing? and what air-to-surface missiles are cleared on the F-22? tia

oh, also its mentioned there is no AMRAAM grove at the front of the fuselage as this molding is based on the Nasa bird, which has blanked plates instead of the grove for the AMRAAM.

hi, received mine today. I'll try to explain as best as I can since I'm no expert on resin, and haven't worked with it before. the surface texture has some small holes on it, there isnt much surface detail or its very fine, and the bottom fuselage I feel is a bit warped. The top and bottom fuselage dont match up, but I think super glue and a some pressing both parts together might make the misalignment less obvious below is some pics I think its not too bad considering there arent any options out there, and its not like its impossible to work with.

hi, any photos of the new F-16XL? I am still waiting for mine but with the response, I dont have much of an expectation on it

be scared, be very scared... I have about 5-6 boxes of Hasegawa F-14 Tomcat, and all of them have broken pieces floating in the plastic bag, some of them have lost almost all small pieces jutting from the wing trailing edge which is needed to position the flap down I wish I can request for some replacement parts from Hasegawa for free, but I'm not sure how to do that

This looks bad.. I ordered the new 1/48 F-16XL for the Tamiya kit but havent received it yet, if this is the quality expected of their 'new' kit than I guess I'm going to have a tough time ahead....

yap, the hinges are fixed in the retracted position. Not sure why they didnt bother including the dropped flaps hinges since the flaps are already separated pieces.

hi, not sure if this has been asked before, but I was wondering can I use tamiya thinner to thin gunze lacquer paint? or can I use terpentine instead? Reason I ask is because my local model stores has gunze lacquer paint but I cant find any gunze thinner tia

so besides the quality of the material and some sanding/filling, there isnt any major work require to mate the two parts together right? TIA

hi, I was reading the forum on the differences between the Kinetic F-16 with Tamiya. I was wondering has anyone tried combining the two seater front cockpit section from Kinetic to the Tamiya body? Will it works? from the diagram, the demarcation line looks similar between the two kit, I was wondering how much work will it take to mate the two parts together thanks still waiting for my slow mail F-16DJ from Hong Kong ..

I'm holding out on a two seater from them, and hopefully some reviews soon
