  1. I believe the US Army used a P-51 in gloss OD and white while testing the Lockheed Cheyenne helicopter. It also had a green tinted top canopy. I do not know the letter designation weather it was a P-51D or something else.
  2. I was wondering if any of the Mi-26 kits has any detailing in the cargo hold?
  3. Floyd, By any chance do you have any color photos of the Hiller and the Hughes 300? I love the 300. A long time ago, in the 1970s I did a report about airborne law enforcement for a school project. Hughes Aircraft was very helpful providing me a lot of information about Project Sky Knight. They even gave me a drawing/schematics of the 300C for police use. I wish I would have kept that stuff. By the way we frequent the same hobby shop in Bel Air.
  4. By any chance do you still have the Tamiya Hughes 500 kits? If so are you selling them? Thank You, Steve McLain shm-lmm68@comcast.net
  5. Anthony, By any chance do you still have the Tamiya Hughes 500? How much are you willing to sell it for? Thank You, Steven H. McLain shm-lmm68@comcast.net
  6. Ray, I received the Hughes 500 Tuesday 08-05-2008 in excellent condition. Thank You. What kind of helo photos are you looking for. I have some of Sky Flight Care. Steve
  7. John, How much do you want for the Kiowa, if it still available? Thanks, Steve McLain
  8. Ray, I would love to have it so I can finish mine. How much do you want for it? I don't really have anything to trade right now. Thank You, Steven H. McLain 68 Loop Road East Pequea, PA 17565-9004 USA E-mail: shm-lmm68@comcast.net
  9. I had another e-mail from someone else about having a kit. But I don't know what happened to it. Is there someone else trying to contact me about this?
  10. It is ok, not a problem, I appreciate you helping me.
  11. The windscreen was totally flat and broken. I don't think it is usuable. I did write Hasegawa, Minicraft, and Academy and all said it was out of production. But I see it is still in MRC/Academys catalog, but I don't know how old it is. Thank You for trying, it was more than the companies did. I don't know anyone with a vacuu form machine, but I sure would like to have one. Steven H. McLain
  12. Yes, I got the clear parts. All arrived safe except the front windscreen. They must have put it through a roller of some type. Thank You for sending me the parts.
  13. I hope that someone can help me with the following: I recently saw a UH-1 Medevac in I think all white with the rotors black, white, red and yellow. But I don't remember on what website> I don't know if it was HKN, ARC, or Scale Rotors. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You in Advance, Steven H. McLain
  14. Thank You!!!!! Maybe I will be able to help you in the future Steve

  16. Does anyone have or know what model company to get a hold of for replacement clear parts for Academy 1691? I have tried them, and Hasegawa and was told they are out of production. I just hate to use the amber clear parts. Thank You in Advance, Steve
  17. Can anyone tell me the difference between the Bell 47 and the AB-47? I was told the bubble is bigger on the AB-47. Does this mean that the door would also be larger? I always hit my head when getting in the Bells, I've never been in the AB-47. Thank You,
  18. What color and type of blue paint did you use?
  19. Yes this is the site that I got the information from. Now all we have to do is get Testors Model Master or someone else to make it.
  20. A while back I remember someone asking about the "Official" USCG colors. This is what I found: USCG Coatings and Color Manual, 16 July 1973, (The latest update I can find), Section 2.4.1: Diagonal Red Stripe FS-12199 Diagonal Blue Stripe FS-15182 and of course Gloss White FS-17825. It also states in the manual that these were recently (1973) assigned FS numbers and it might be difficult to get them via official channels so they suggest the following contact: Sherman Williams Kern Lustral Number F91-LNS.
  21. I believe that they are Medium Sea Gray overall with flourescent yellow or orange chevrons on the bottom of the aircraft. I have an article somewhere. I'll go look for it and get back to you. It seems that it was in the silver book type magazine but the name escapes me. Anyway I will go look it up.
  22. Yes, that is what I would do. I don't know of any easier way to do it that would keep the door intact and useable.
  23. Does anyone have the Squadron Signal Lockheed U-2, 1988 version. that they would want to sell for a reasonable price? I had one years ago and I lost it along the way. Thank You, Steven H. McLain shm-lmm68@comcast.net
  24. Does anyone know if there is anything wrong with the HKN website? Specifically I can't semm to get in to view the gallery anymore, and I also can't post topics. I enter my user name and other information but it still will not let me in. I have tried e-mailing the editor but I got no response, I do not know if it went through though. Thank You in Advance,
  25. Does anyone know if there are other sites like the Mi-24 for other helos, like Kamov, Mi-8/17?
