Emvar
Continuing with my clear the started builds before I start a new one. Here is one I did start earlier this year. Nice kit plenty of stuff in the box...... this one is pretty much OOB with a few fixes here and there. Pretty straight forward to this part now I need to find more accurate drawing of the 3 tone Marine Colour Scheme. Pretty much cleanup parts and glue. There were other PE parts I could have replaced...... got a little lazy and anxious. I've already primed it today, hope to have it painted in the next couple of weeks. If anyone can help with pointing me in the right direction for a correct paint diagram it would be appreciated. Thanks. Emil Edited July 27, 2010 by Emvar

Emvar
Some more pics...... just need to add minor details and redo weathering where needed. Painted in NATO Three tone colours (freehand with an airbrush) then srayed with sand colour then used Tamiya weathering system. Still need to add View ports Head/Tail light and antenna detail. Vehicle depicted as being somewhere in Iraq thus the heavy sand weathering. Added stuff from the Tamiya Modern Stowage/Rucks. :) Emil
Emvar
Calling this one done.......and 2 down this year. Base Coat was Krylon Green out of a rattle can the rest was Tamiya paints and Tamiya weathering sets and sticks. All Lights and Ports have a base silver and I used permanent markers for the tail lights orange signal lights and blue portals. Decals are under that dirt someplace. Used future as a decals set then weathered the model using Sand coloured paint very heavily thinned sprayed pretty much anywhere sand would get into. I then used the Tamiya Wx set to finish things up. Rucks are from a Tamiya stowage set.... MRE/Water/Coke boxes are from my Trumpeter LAV TUA kit (which I duplicated so I have lots for my other builds) All tie down straps are Tamiya tape painted. Emvar
Thanks for the kind remarks..... Fort, Boot prints are Calibre 35 which I think are awesome (got the idea from 'Pig' and one of his builds )..... As for armour I am liking it more and more as you really can't mess it up. Glad you all think it is ok..... Cause it was a fun build. Emil Next I'm thinking LAV III and LAV III TUA Canadian Armed Forces.
smithery
Nice one Elmo. Glad to see you're branching out, as I too find armour to be a nice break. Pretty easy to cover up mistakes with mud......
