georgeg
Nice artwork. Could you show an enlargement of the insignia on the tail please? I'm not familiar with it.

setal
Nice artwork. Could you show an enlargement of the insignia on the tail please? I'm not familiar with it. that's a romanian marking (comunism era) the star was for military aircraft and the insignia for civil aircraft some of the aircraft served both civil and military aviation Edited September 14, 2010 by setal
niart17
Awesome stuff!! What program are you using to generate these? That "model on the desk" image is incredibly realistic, did you model all of the objects? keep posting this stuff, it's great!. Bill

georgeg
Awesome renditions of one butt ugly bird! The red paint does help it thoughSteve Oh, I don't know about that. I think it falls into the category of so ugly its cute! I just kinda like the looks of the cowled radial tail dragger Yak 18.
georgeg
The artwork is superb! Very impressive. I agree, how did you do it?
setal
There is a combination of 3d with 2d but the secret word is Cinema 4D
NeilF92
Thanks for the info setal . I dabble with Blender (free) , also use Photoshop Elements plus normal manual drawing and painting . Cinema 4D looks very versatile - but too expensive for an amateur like myself , £740 VAT inc for the starter pack in the advert I saw. setal
The inspiration started with this site....... http://www.colacola.se/default.htm you find there many tuturials.... It can be used any 3d software who has advanced texture mapping

Fetchermite
I know that it is a long time since the last reply to this thread. Hope it is still running. I have been searching for photos of the full size aircraft shown in your artwork but cannot find any. I need the full size pictures for proof of scale if I decide to use your colour schemes on a model
