LanceB
The JASDF occasionally comes up with a great scheme (the Fuji & Sakura F-15 was awesome) but unfortunately they "miss" far more often then they "hit". This new F-15 sceme is a great example - the vertical stabs are fairly good, but the rest of the "let's paint it black with big flames!" screams "high school kids trying to make their friend's Ford Maverick hatchback look 'cool'". Oh, yeah? Well, the USAF, USN & the Russians are even worse: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP271 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP270 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP269 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP280 And don't even mention the French: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP283 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP279 ( Now you know why they have a Mirage air base called "Orange" ) Sissies!! ChernayaAkula
Man, I gotta have that Eagle! <_< I know this will open me up to all the Magic Pony jokes, but I think the horse motifs on the starboard tail and nose sides rock. :) See some more pics >>HERE<<. Checksix
U found them Jackman... I already pre-ordered both ! For me the 23rd squadron eagle is a beauty as their JASDF 50th's anniversary markings ! I've read on Z5 that Afterburnerdecals was interested for the F-2 markings at 48th scale.....let's wait. JackMan
Moritz, thanks for the link. I'd forgotten about that site. And this is the first time I've seen close-ups of that bird. C6, yup this kit will look great next to the 50th Ann one. I just hope--like the 50th Ann kit-- this kit's decals are also by Cartograf.
pollie
I just hope--like the 50th Ann kit-- this kit's decals are also by Cartograf. Hasegawa seems to have abandoned putting Cartograf decals in their LE boxings.
Checksix
Hasegawa seems to have abandoned putting Cartograf decals in their LE boxings. That's a pretty bad news....we're gonna need some MICROSCALE ! More pix of the beast...... right HERE : http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....72&hl=jasdf C6

gonzalo
A lot of the special marking for their aircraft are just awesome! I especially like the 30th anniversary for the F-4EJ with the rising sun motif. I found those decals in 1/72 but I could never find it in 1/48. I love the 50th Anniversary F-2. I hope someone makes a 1/48 sheet for it.
Mike J. Idacavage
Great find Jega! Thanks! These are pretty cool markings. Unfortuneatly, by the time I saw your post today, HLJ has already stopped taking pre-orders. Bummer! Hopefully a few of these kits will be available after they are issued. Hope all is well on your side! Mike http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG01935http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG01934
ChernayaAkula
<...> Unfortuneatly, by the time I saw your post today, HLJ has already stopped taking pre-orders. Bummer! <...> Mike, you can still pre-order one on Hobby Search. CLICKY! That's where I pre-ordered mine. And it's also just 2,400 instead of 3,000 Yen there. The store itself is good to go. Ordered from them many times now and had nothing but sterling service!
JackMan
Hi Mike I knew you'd be interested I concur with Moritz. HS service is very good. But you should try to pay via Paypal because earlier on they had the same problem as Hannants & had some of the CC details stolen. I think the issue has been resolved but I personally prefer to make Paypal payments (luckily HS has that option). C6, I went to that link you posted earlier: http://blog.livedoor.jp/break_mania/archives/1546482.html and WOW! His pictures are awesome! But too few. Each update seems only about 4 pics. But they are very well taken. shion
Why Hasegawa doesn't release these decals in 1/48?
Mike J. Idacavage
Outstanding!!!! Thanks for both the link and the recomendation. I was able to get on the pre-order list for Hobby Search. I might not have used them if it was not for your and Jega's recomendation! Hopefully, I'll be available to get their email notice for payment in time as I travel a bit on business and they only allow a 3 day response. Mike Mike, you can still pre-order one on Hobby Search. Mike J. Idacavage
Hi Jega!! Cool, I followed your advice and went with the PayPal route. This will be a bit safer, I think. JackMan
Mike, don't forget the F-2. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10132788 Moritz's earlier link was for the F-15. :D
Youngtiger1
Now, that is cool. I really like the horse nose and tail art on that Delta Eagle. Very nice find Jackman. Mike
ChernayaAkula
Just got a payment request from Hobby Search. Apparently, the F-15 is in stock now and ready for shipping!
JackMan
Just got a payment request from Hobby Search. Apparently, the F-15 is in stock now and ready for shipping! Yup, me too! Pics now available: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10132786 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10132786n2/40/2 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10132788 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10132788n2/40/2 And, unfortunately, the other poster was right; the decals seem inhouse produced rather than Cartograf :)
Spectre711
Why Hasegawa doesn't release these decals in 1/48? :) Is this done in other scales? You would think they would be all over this to make a quick buck.
Mike J. Idacavage
And my copies are on the way also!! Thanks to everyone who recomended Hobby Search, that worked out great! Have fun modeling! Mike
