Marlin
That is one monster hunk of nose stuck out there. Is there something "pointy" still to be attached?Darwin Hi Darwin, Yes, I've got the radome, the camera lens and the glazing left to attach. /Bosse
Marlin
DECALS !!! We got decals! Ms Tarmil has finally steped in to the dressing room. Unfortunally I torned this one a bit. I've done this with the HobbyBoss kit decals. And they were great.... I've got a lot more to place before I'm finished. T.B.C /Bosse
Uncle Uncool
Ya, Bosse, mate! Howdy, bloke? AwLsome work on both the Mss Ts! Lookie there! Gotten ya some inspiration for yer Ms Tsniut just by sheer 'n' utter chance; here: Dunno whether ya'd seen 'em already, but I was peepin' at an A6M5 thread on the In-Progress Piccies section by Kamil Feliks Sztarbała, when I stumbled upon these ones which, for a split tick, I thought was yer Tsniut. Said, damn!; that Marlin's such a quick show-off... :P Sooo... whut d'ya think, paps? Ya've got a new mate to go talk to now. Kamil seems to be a helluva modeller, huh? Hope it helps, lad. Cheers now, my mate Unc²
Marlin
Very Nice :D Credit to Kamil Feliks Sztarbała very nicely done. I hope mine turns out as good as his. Since I'm already doing #98 as Ms Tarmil, my Tzniut will be #58. /Bosse

Marlin
Hi, First of all, Thank you ~kamil for showing your Tzniut. I hope mine will turn out as nice as yours. I've been putting the decals om Ms Tarmil. I've used the HobbyBoss kit decals on this, and I'm very pleased with the result. Unfortunally I did ripped a couple of them. They are really thin. I'll have the bottom ones done in a day or two. Stay tuned, more will follow. :) /Bosse
yardbird78
Hi folks! My Tzniut is finished. Im going to post some more pictures in display section soon. Regards ~kamil Nice work on the Tznuit. That new nose section HAS to be one of the most un-aerodynamic things that I have ever seen grafted onto an airplane. Darwin

Marlin
Hi Gang. Here's a quick update on what I've be doing the last couple of days. All decals are now on Ms Tarmil. Ms Tzniut has got all rudders and some primer. And Ms Moshel has her top colours. That's all for now. /Bosse
Qian
Nice work so far Bosse! Interesting to see the Israelis retain the French 'DO NOT STEP' stencils on the flaperons.

Uncle Uncool
Aw, mate; yer even brush work on Ms Moshel's paint job only makes me wonder how much more awesome ya'd be at airbrushin' yer paint. I especially like the natural metal finish on Ms Tarmil; noooiiice decals, by the way. 'N' as for Ms Tsniut, I see Kamil's build has indeed inspired ya, aye? ;) Yers is already lookin' as though she's gonna be a nosey beauty. Luvly collection of Recce Mirages, Bosse! Say, whut was of Ms Tashebtz? Meanwhile, the only good news down here is I've gotten a Dagger resin conversion kit in order to graft it onto an old Esci/Italeri 1/48 Mirage IIIEA kit? :) Plannin' to build either the C-414 or C-418 in the Argentine Air Force service durin' the Falklands War. Cheers now, B! Unc²

Cheers now, B! Unc² Hi Unc, Thanks for the comments matey. As for the airbrush, you never know. I also hang out on IPMS Gothenburgs forum and we're having a get together the first weekend of may. And we've planned some workshops for that meet. One of them is airbruhing. I fondled a cheap one in a store a few weeks ago. But I didn't like the trigger on the top. I'm a lefty and the cup was in the wrong place for me. But a guy who has a guntrigger type of airbrush is bringing his to the meet and all who'd like can try it out. Maybe that's way for me. The only other option seems to be an Aztec. I sure would like a Dagger conversion myself. I'm collection kits for a marathon Falklands/Malvinas build some day in the future. As for Ms Tashbetz. She's on hold. I havn't got the replacements parts yet. If I get them in time to finish her before the june 30 deadline I'll add her to this thread. Otherwise she's ending up in the regular WIP-thread. Cheers & take care. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi, I'm soo sorry. I've missed to update this thread. So here's a quick update on whats been happening to the Sisters Shahak. Ms Tarmil has her legs, can't beat direct sunligt as a lightsource... Back to LED and Flash again. And I've started to paint Ms Tzniut. And as you know, I brushpaint, one panel at a time. (Not the first coat) I trace out the pattern with a pencil and then I paint it freehand. And Yes it is a tedious business, but I like the result First out sand. And then some green. I sand the paint, starting with 600 grit going down to 6000, between each layer. That's all for now. But... To Be Continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi Gang, I'm having a really good evening/night. My team in swedish icehockey just won the national final.... My team is Färjestad from Karlstad, and they beat Skellefteå with four to one, in best of seven matches. I have no relation too that town at all. I just like the team, and I've have done so since I was a kid. But lets get back to what I've been doing during the hockey game. Ms Tarmil is tonights Big Star. The MLG doors are in place. They should be in the closed position. HobbyBoss & Eduard wants you to mount them open. But they only are when landing or during service. One of the three nosegear doors is also in place. As are the airscopes on the spine. And I've also added the brown on Ms Tzniut. I tried to sand the blue on the belly of Ms Moshel. But that hadn't hardened yet so she'll have to wait a few days more... /Bosse Edited April 14, 2011 by Marlin

Marlin
Thanks Darwin. The picture will continue. I'm not finished with Ms Tarmil yet. And then we have the other three girls to finish. Hopefully all four will be done by june 24th. After that I'm taking the family to Denmark for a week. :) /Bosse

Marlin
Hi Gang, Here's a small update on my progress. Ms Tarmil has all landinggear bays doors on. And I've painted almost all droptanks silver. I did miss two of them, but they'll be done as well. Ms Moshel have got some more blue on the belly. But I don't think one more coat will be sufficent. And Ms Tzniut have had her second coat of sand. Perhaps three coats of sand will be enough. To be continued.... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi again. It's time again for a quick update on what's been going on the last few days. Ms Tzniut has had her final layer of sand. I've got some touchups to do. Ms Moshel has had her final layer of blue, decals next for her. And I've added the glazing to the cameranose on Ms Tarmil. It was a wee bit tricky to cut the glass. I've used Kristal Kleer to glue it in place. I've also added one of the fuel tanks. To be continued.... /Bosse
Uncle Uncool
Time just enough for a quickie one, lad: Shinny Ms Tarmil! Yeh, me "loikes," Bosse! Incidentally; say, mate: shouldn't "them" main landin' gear doors be opened? Me hasn't eva seen 'em closed on any Mirage aircraft on "them" ground; come to think of it, not even on any IAF Mirage either. Well, a tad chilli for yer hoodie 'n' jean shorts, ain't it, hun? Me's told ya yer season was comin' to an end now, haven't me? Comin' "them" winter season! Uh-huh... nay bloody summer lasts for eva. Gonna have to beg, steal o' borrow... Yeh? Cheers now, my mate! Unc²

And I've just hear´d from my hobbyshop that the missing part for Ms Tashbetz is enroute. Soo that build is on again. Hopefully I'll have all four done by june 24th...... To be contiuned /Bosse
