Aigore
Oki....Hairspray it was For the fuselage I thought I´d pour the hairspray in to the airbrush and shoot with the airbrush instead.... But I think I shot a too fine a coat because it was very hard to rub off the paint! The top fuselage looks alright..but the bottom fuselage I have to redo, I couldn´t get any chips off it at all :/ The underside all finished, washed and drybrushed :D As are the winglets, even got some decals on :D A little dry fit.... The bottom fuselage has just been clear coated so I´ll try again tomorrow. Cheers!

mmaker
Nice Progress Janne! For hairspay, spray two coats first not one,and then Gunze or Tamiya color. Then use some warm water with brush!Dont let the color to cure, start right after spraying. You can also spray little areas, chipping, spray other areas, chipping, etc

Aigore
Update time! :D Been feeling sorry for myself while lying on the couch a few days fighting off nasty viruses and watching Voyager...but now I´m back for busniess again :D Anyways, with some helpful input into the world of hairspray chipping I set off to re paint the bottom fuselage and now it´s pink in places again :D Armed with a brush and a cup of hot water I started going at it! Much better result this time around! After the deed was done I sealed with a clear coat and when it had dried I put on another coat of hairsparay for the second layer of chipping. While the hairspray dried I masked and painted the green details on the upper fuselage..with some old fashion vaseline chipping. When I was done with the upper part I painted the lower fuselage with Tamiya Hull red And emediately went at it with hot water and a brush...much much better chipping and control this time! PAinted the strips fore and aft with Tamyia german grey and chipped it in hairspray style :D Installed the cockpit... And the winglets.... Then A little dry fit to see how it looks.... Next I´ll go at it with oil washes, drybrushing and other dirty tricks :D Cheers!

Aigore
Well well, here we are then...the last update :D I applied a thin panel wash with a broad brush.... Whiped it off....not entirely satisfied... So I put down another wash... Better :D Next some streaking and texture to the surface.....dotted oils all over... Then I wiped with a soft cotton cloth in the wind direction...i.e. from the top down. Then I added some rust and oil streaks.... and sealed it all with a flat coat. Next I washed the windscreen and dipped it future.I glued on a plastic rod for a grip while handeling the piece. Almost all done...I´ll just add the guns and then it´s finished :D Well that was a fun build :D See ya´ll in a display case forum near you :D
