I figured they would have operated out of Andrews also...given they had a dinner with their Ambassador planned for that evening. Any idea where they staged out of? The weather was a bit overcast and crappy most of Sunday too. Didn't see any footage of the flight on the news or anything.

David Where are they launching out of? Downtown airport? I can't find much of anything. I don't really want to go downtown. Do you have any times?
Djack
I have seen that yes, it will be out of downtown. I have no time frame yet, if I do I'll let you know. The ceremony on Thursday is starting at 10:00 a.m. I believe, but it is sold out...however, no clue on the flying times. I've see a B-2 is flying over as well. Not sure if there's anything else of not.
angus
11:00 AM it seems: The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on the south mall of the Liberty Memorial. The stage will be erected facing south so that the audience — and the media cameras — will have the tower of the Liberty Memorial as a backdrop. The ceremony will begin with a flyover of the Patrouille de France aviation demonstration team, which will sweep up and over the Liberty Memorial tower trailing red, white and blue smoke. The ceremony will be bookended by a flyover of the U.S. Air Force B-2 bomber. Djack
I just missed them landing here in Kansas City today. I was able to catch the A400M coming in. I waited around for two of the Patrioulle to take back off for some media flights. Very cool...something I would have never guessed I's see in Kansas City in my life time.
