CivicSiKL
Just wondering if anyone has both the Meng and Trumpeter kits. I haven't been able to find a comparison yet. -Kyle

Paul Boyer
I'd say Meng, but Meng doesn't have a two-seater (yet), so if you need the B, Trumpeter can supply.
Eric B.
Hi I have both kits I'd say Mend is nicer in the box. But from first rate talented friend modellers reports it seems Trumpeter is far easier to build and still for a very good result. Regards Eric B.

I would agree that the Meng kit is a bit of a difficult build as I am having a trying time with one at the moment.

I could have done without the two open avionics bays in the nose. Regards, Murph

Viasistina
Meng--worst best kit I ever built. I think I'm a good modeler but this one took me three (yes three) tries to get it right. Tolerances are so tight that tube glue can make the build very difficult . Lots of tibs and bits on the parts, some are locating pins, some are sprue attachments which can affect mating surfaces. More later.
Paul Boyer
Hang in there. It takes patience and care, but the results are a beautiful model.
Rex
Paul, did that Genie and trailer come with the kit? Just wondering if that Genie looks as good in person as in your photo.
Paul Boyer
Everything in the photos comes from the kit. That white odd looking thing is the Six Gun pack (upside down).
