Tamiya 1/48 F-16CM BLK 50

Recommended Posts

Hello all, this is my first post here, other than some correspondence with Drew about his gold standard F-16.

I just finished a build myself…in HAVE GLASS camo gray. This is the first model I’ve built in over 30 years. The last model I built I was probably 13 or so…

Anyway, I plan to build another one after I finish a couple other projects (a Mercedes AMG GT3 and a 1/144 C-17) but I have started cutting and sanding some resin parts and working on the missiles. My next “super 1/48 build” F-16 will be a BLK 30 out of Buckley AFB will be more practice for the eventual Tamiya 1/32 that is sitting on the shelf.

I’ve learned a lot on this build, and quite a few things I’d do different or pay attention to next time. Overall, I’m pleased. The look I was going for was fairly fresh paint, but the next jet will be much more weathered.
