  2. As the title. Anyone out there built one? I'm considering either buying that one or the Tamiya Enterprise and would appreciate opinions before I do. Thanks

    TURRETS

Grasp the sprue in left hand---clip turret parts of sprue with sprue cutters, (used in right hand),---throw parts in bucket. Job done! :P
  4. As Paul Said---'Since you mentioned Heller in your list, I'm reasonably sure we're we're talking about essentially the same kit.' Note the 'reasonably sure' He did NOT say they were the same. A simple statement to that effect would have been sufficient ok?
  5. Paul. Carry on the doin' your modelling your way mate. It's the most important thing. Don't be put of by a few people who nit-pick, (even if your wrong ). Just carry on enjoying your plastic, be like me--I couldn't care less wot others say, I'm happy with me plastic and that's all that matters right?
  6. Does anyone know if this tape, (or similar), is available here in the UK? Cheers, Gordon
  7. Tom. This might sound daft to you and others but I use Humbrols 'Light Ghost Grey' for this. 127?? Nicely grey with a distinct bluish tint.
  8. The Supermarket chain Lidl had them on sale a couple of weeks ago mate. I paid about £4 odd for a box with two gauges in it. Made of plastic with metal wires--not 1st class workmanship but definitely usable. They pop up in the shop now and again so just keep your eyes open.
  9. Ken that price is simply outrageous!! They must be taking the crap! I've got ROG's 1/32 Junkers Ju 88 from Santa, list price about £30, possibly going up to £40 next month or so. Just compare and think lads.
  10. These any help Kyle? Can't remember where I got them unfortunately.
  11. Gentlemen and ladies. I have purchased two of ROG's recent 1/32 F-4F Rhino's and wish to convert one to an F-4E. (The 'E' isn't available here). I know the kit has probs which I intend to fix where possible--I intend to get resin seats--I intend to get some PE for the cockpit etc, I have old Superscale decals for 'City of Homestead', so all I need is a pair of slotted stabilators. If any kind person has a pair of same, unused, from ROG's F-4E, I would be very appreciative to get them at some time after the New Year. Any costs incurred would of course be reimbursed! I've had a look at the
  12. Welll---I just happen to know that 'she who must be obeyed' received a package today from Wonderland Models here in Edinburgh and also, I just happen to know, (cough-cough), that it contains a ROG 1/32 Junkers 88!!! Just in time for Chrissie! Wooohhooo

Bloody 'ell Bill!! Well spotted that man! It'll take ages to sort through that lot. Got it bookmarked, got the coffee made and the nibbles ready---here I go----12hrs of screen gazing and right clicking! Brill.
  14. Here-here. Spot on Sir.
  15. These any good mate? Sorry I don't have a photo of the back of the seat. Can't remember where I found them either--ah well.

    New Kits

Timmy I salute you!! I've said the same, basic thing in an earlier post on a previous thread. I totally agree with everything you said and if modellers do not grasp that simple fact, we're going to end up as a 'specialist' hobby and we all know what that means don't we? Bringing kids into the hobby early is the only thing that is going to keep it going and the ONLY way to do that is to keep prices down. We may well be seeing the 'Golden Age' now but, the clock is ticking gentlemen.
  18. Hey 'Gun'. All the F-4J's were delivered in 'Flint Grey' and flown in such until re-paint in the standard 3 colour scheme. 'Flint Grey' is available from Xtracolor Paints. The main thing noticeable about this colour, (apart from the strange hue already mentioned), was that it was much smoother than British paints and had a very noticeable 'sheen' to it.
  19. That site is incredible!! Thanks for letting me know Sir!! I've downloaded the lot. I spent years fighting those old Microscale, 1/48 data sheets for F-4's, almost losing me eyesight in the process! (Anyone who has used them will know what I mean. Wonderful!!
  20. As I said over on Britmodeller, (note the spelling chaps)------ Oooooooohhhhhh!!
  21. I am SO glad someone else is building this kit! I'm doing the single seater version and in my wisdom, (yeah right), I decided to extend the intakes using rolled, paper tubes, an idea I got from a Hyperscale article. Looks ok when fitted but, I am now in the situation where I'm ready to finish of the painting of the intakes and I'm stuck!!! Can anyone supply a picture(s) of the internal Grey/White demarcations? I cannot find ANY pics or refs. which show all 4 internal sides! Any help would be greatly appreciated lads! And, oh yes, lovely job!
  22. Well silver1, if you look at the apparent breakdown of the model, it does look like it has the potential. By-the-by, Revell state that they are issuing it as an A1/A4. Ah Sabre. Drambuie eh? Wot none of you lot know is that I used to live right opposite there old site here in 'Auld Reekie' when I was a young pup! In the summer months it was wonderful with the right wind direction cos they stacked the 'empty' barrels it was matured in, in great piles, out in the open air to weather and for a young chap who got friendly with the 'coopers', (the guys that made the barrels it was matured in), t
  23. I was wondering that myself. The bottom of the fuselage seems to be in the form of a long panel. But---- didn't this beast carry bombs on underwing racks, between the engines and fuselage? It has dive brakes after all. Curious.
  24. Cough-cough. Just a little note Dave and to all my American friends---Edinburgh, (where Wonderland Models is), is actually the Capital of SCOTLAND!! Why, oh why do you American lot insist in calling the whole of Great Britain ENGLAND!! We fought wars for centuries with that lot mate! (Only lost the last one!) And yes, before anyone asks, that noble enteprise will be receiving my pennies for at least one of these beasties!! :D (It's my home town you see).
