  1. This is frankly a much better idea than what was actually executed. They should listen to us more than what the marketing departments say!
  2. I think I managed to cram in everything I need in the subject lines :) I'll consider any 1/25 Revell 69 Charger in any condition (glue bombs, spares, etc), same goes for the M551 Sheridan, any scale any manufacturer (up to Tamiya down to Airfix). Heck I'll take internet links to paper models! Seller preferred to be near Denver, CO metro area, cash purchase preferred but trades possible. I'll have to see what I can possibly trade later.
  3. To add specifics, I'll see if I can get a list of models I'm willing to trade (I can tell you right now most of them are aircraft, if you're interested)
  4. Well...I think I've pretty much crammed in every pertinent detail I can think of in the title lines :) Once again most likely method of payment would be cash (or even credit card if possible) but I could trade an aircraft model as well (I will have to get back to you on what specific kits). Also, and I want to make this very clear (PLEASE READ THIS & TITLE): - I'm just sending out feelers really, rather than looking to buy immediately. If for whatever reason you need to get rid of the kit immediately, we can discuss it with PM's, but I don't feel to be in a hurry. - I'm also looking a
  5. You can do it with a spray can but it takes a little more practice and to develop a technique. I recommend reading here first and practicing on either sprue trees or something else you don't mind turning into a potential glue(spray?)bomb. Uhhhh...not to sound anything but humble but here's probably as good a place to start. You've already done the first step by asking, and I'm sure other forum members will be able to provide you with a treasure-trove of links. And not to sound like a jerk, but a Google image search is a great place to start too. And welcome aboard! EDIT: also, blue mas
  6. My math's been known to be sloppy, but blue painter's tape and Elmer's will be your cheapest tape and glue solutions, respectively. I've been very happy with them.
  7. I'd like to put on a body kit but I have no idea how to scratchbuild the complicated curves needed for it. And if you've got any other suggestions (styling, etc) I'm open to them as well. EDIT: ...and meant to put this in general discussion....
  8. Yeah, but I figured this would be more appropriate, but I guess I could ask there too.
  9. I'm actually trying to scratch-out a bodykit for the Revell '79 Camaro 3-n-1 as well as hood and engine details. Theoretically a pretty simple project but I'm concerned about some complex curves.
  10. Really amazing. I don't suppose you're going to do the Regal generation previous to this?
  11. Well it just occurred to me that all I've ever done are out of the box projects (or used aftermarket suppliments) without having to do much in the way of scratchbuilding and now I'm on a project where I'm pretty much going to have to scratchbuild regardless. So I have to ask, what are the basics of scratchbuilding? What kind of material you use, etc.? And how do you shape new parts when you're not vac-forming? And speaking of vac-forming, I've never done it but I'm technically familiar with the concept. I'm wondering if I should just do that.
  12. *ahem* http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/n_grvQ3U5ihieoWs_P3_.Q--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnflexperts/United-Flight-Board-at-the-Denver-Airport.jpg Just reminding him that an 8-8 team with a mediocre quarterback went farther than the Steelers :D
  13. I've searched high and low, and even talked to a few experts I personally know, but as odd as it may seem I'm having trouble getting some decent 707 drawings and references. Whatever you can give me would be appreciated. Any version will do but if you really press for a specific answer the -320 is what's needed most. Thanks!
  14. Nevermind I was able to find an appropriate image on my own
  15. I'd like if someone could scan me the instruction sheet, particularly of a nice side/profile shot, front towards the right if possible, with the landing gear as close to even with ground level as possible. If it would be saved in a .png format, and perhaps even be presented in a scale of 22 pixels = 1 meter would be greatly appreciated but not necessary. Thanks!
  16. Remember it? Pfft, I have it! EDIT: In fact I think it's a good kit to reproduce for today. Maybe even make a "dumbed-down" version since it's great for the kids.
  17. The Iranians don't really have much more options. Of course, that SP is leftover from the days of the Shah. The cooperation with the Russians is relatively recent, which is why you're only seeing Russian airliners in Iranian service recently. And it's not like they can build their own airliner - very few can, even big countries, hence Airbus and EADS.
  18. This might help your case a bit: http://www.aerofiles.com/boe-b17turbo.jpg
  19. First they move it from Fridays to Thursdays. Now for last week and this week, I can't find it on the schedule whatsoever! And I just saw an ad for it TODAY! Is it canceled, or what?
  20. I smell another conspiracy here.... Clearly, you knew of this plan for quite some while now. However, while you were drafting this plan (or perhaps before you even thought of it - mind extraction techniques, anyone?) Matt Groening clearly saw how eeevillllly clever it was and decided that HE must be the first to reveal this diabolical Soviet plan to the world! However, as to not catch the ire of the resurgent Soviet Union (which, in fact, had always stuck around, it was just a clever ploy to the West), he cleverly disguised this nugget of information in one of his Simpsons episodes, so that t
  21. Does this mean those funny hats don't work all that well after all?
  22. Well, it does greatly resemble the ultimate design, and in 1935 the DC-3 was only beginning to enter service at the very best. I guess it was a simplified version of the DC-4E which eventually evolved into the DC-4 we all know.
  23. The only weapons on that chart that are of a concurrent generation with the Rhino itself are the JSOW and maybe the TALD. They don't even list the AIM-120 at all.
