  1. Not many parts. So this should be a quick build. The stand that is shown on the instuctions is just like the old Airfix stands that came with every a/c model in good ol' times. Grétar W. G.
  2. Nice start. A little more detailed than my old Revell. Grétar W. G.
  3. Looking good so far. Grétar W. G.
  4. Nice. Interesting how the fuselage is constructed, in two halfs as it seems by the photos. Grétar W. G.
  5. I'm a slow builder. But there is some progress on my Lanc. I got the engine from CMK. The wings are almost done. Just need to do some filling and put on the engine nacelles on. But I think that we can all agree that there is a huge fitting problem here. I have put some plastic strips on the nacelles / wheel housing parts. Some pictures later. The small air intakes on the sides of the engine covers are a little to small on the kit copared to the CMK part. I'm thinking of making a mould of the CMK par
  6. Hi all. After two weeks in Cuba and three weeks after I came back doing nothing, modelling that is, I'm finally beginnig to do something. Before I went to Cuba I had an accident with the Lanc. I was picking up the left half of the fuselage that had the cockpit in it, unglued and the cockpit fell to the floor and was damaged. But not beond repare. I have a picture of it but now we need to see if I can make it visable here. I also, just five minutes ago, ordered a engine set from CMK that I'll be using for the Lanc. It's made for Hasegava, but I'll pro
  7. Hi. all. We're finally online again. Yehaaa I have done some work on my Lancaster. Compleated the cockpit. Hmmmm. I was going to import some pictures. But can't figure out, at the moment, how to do it. "Insert image from URL" under "insert othe media" below dosn't work. The pictures that I have are to big to use "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." below. Ea. pic around 0,2 MB, well most of them. Does anybody here have any ideas how to insert pictures. Well. Here's a link to my Flickr site to begin with. If you klick on the pictures a info text a
  8. Oops! I did a "new topic" in stead of a "reply" here yesterday. So here we go again.:) I´ll be building the old Revell 1/72 Lancaster kit (© 1965) I have had in my stash for about 30 years! I have the cockpit set from CMK, which is made for the Airfix kit. But I'll make it fit in this one. But we have to see if I'll compleat it or not. I didn't compleat my old Airfix Spitfire for the Spitfire: 80th Anniversary GB. Because the summer came and my RV that I bought in April took more time that planed. But now winter is ahead and my RV is compleated. :rolleyes:/> Best regard Grétar W

  10. Thank you all. The right wing is done (the one in the pictures) and the left one is nearly compleated. Just have to thin down the gun bays to make them fit. I also desided to rescribe the model. The first one I've ever rescribed. It came out ok, I think. I'll send photos when the wings are ready. I had planned to spend a lot of time over Easter (five days off work) to work on the model. But I "accidentaly" bought a 1993 Econoline RV 4X4 on 35" tires on Wednesday before Easter and that has taken some time from the modeling. But I plan to compleat the wings this week. A couple of pic's of my R
  11. OMG. The attack of the mega worms! Everybody run for their lives! Nice Grétar W. G.
  12. As may been seen in the post above, I was going to do the engine and it's bay next. but I soon found out that it was not possible. It would brake of when handling the model doing all the other work that has to be done. So I started on the wings. Here is a picture of the wings and the part that go in to them. First are the flaps and the ailerons, then the lower part of the wings and then the upper parts of the wings. The right wing has been cut for the extra parts. The guns and the gun bays are below the wings. A close up of the right wing. The plastic has been thined down to make space fo
  13. The paint job came out excelently. Nice job Grétar W. G.
  14. The cockpit's ready. The engine comes where the parts have been cut of at the front on one of the halfs of the fusalage. The parts that make up the engine and its bay. Grétar W. G.
