  1. Wow, I wish SOMEONE would do this set in 72nd scale and also add a corrected cockpit and rear decking area for the Italeri Rafale M. Hey, why stop there, we could sure use some modern weps, sensors and fuel tanks too! Oh, and the same stuff for the Mirage 2000, including Spirale ECM gear! Just Dreaming, WARDOG
  2. Colorado Decals (Carpena) are supposedly back in production and they have a lot of French subjects including the SuE. They are listed at Great Models Company as "Special Order". I have a set of the SuE decals and they look O.K. but I'm a little concerned about the gray markings. Search for SuE model builds on the net for an article that talks about this very subject. The weapons sets mentioned above are pretty good too. I just wish SOMEBODY would make more modern 72nd French stuff like sensor pods, more weps, and ECM gear for a variety of types like Spirale, ATLIS, etc. WARDOG
  3. Yeah, Its a short shot! I had the same problem with the left side of the vertical stab from my Monogram kit and I sent off for another one and got it fairly quickly. I have the OLD Monogram issue of the kit molded in white plastic loaded with cruise missiles and with red, white, and blue demo-scheme decals. I may have bought it back in '82'. Revell will take care of you on it, just drop them a buzz. Cheers, WARDOG
  4. Thank you for the offer! I'll do some digging around to see if I can find a pic of the tanks, otherwise maybe one our more knowledgeable guys may know if the MPC tanks are correct. Hey Alby, The MPC kit IS the Airfix kit! I had both. The Airfix kit I had was for the German HEER so it didn't have the tanks and pylons but, the MPC one does have them. I can send you the tanks and pylons. Let me see if I can find the landing gear struts for the sponsons so they'll be a complete fixture to graft onto the side of the Italeri kit. You will have to supply the wheels though as I don't have eno
  5. Hi Alby, Let me chech my spares box to see if the 53 tanks I have from the MPC(?) kit are the same as the Airfix ones. If you can get me a pic, it might help me see if I have the correct ones. Besides, I owe you for the Israeli 53 and AH-1 decals! Cheers, Glynn "WARDOG" Jacobs
  6. You Bet, D.M.!! Some of the very best decals around and I too LOVE each and every 72nd sheet I own! WARDOG
  7. Hi Bob, If you look at the instruction sheet I sent for the Sea Harrier, I think the first drawing is of the FRS.2 (I believe it has the "Shark Mouth" and photo targets in the decals). Externally, the main difference from the FA.2 is the position of the pitot tube (in the nose). I don't have the drawings in front of me but I think the new wing slats, fuselage plug, and exhausts are all the same as on the FA.2. Remember, the FRS.1 was an interim designation for the trials aircraft because the actual FA.2 radar was not even installed yet. I can check my sources but for now, thats all I can
  8. Man, I Quit!!! After seeing your work I might as well pile my kits up and light a fire!! OUTSTANDING WORK! Glynn "WARDOG" Jacobs
  9. Try Roll Models. Thats where I get mine from, Just waiting for them to stock the MirageIV cockpit and CT-52 so I can send them my next order. HTH, WARDOG
  10. Nice Job, Sebastian, I sure would like to know if you come upon any good inside pics (besides the ones on this site) so I can get the seat configuration right for a VIP/Liaison bird. Thanks for the tip on using the CH-47 decals as a start for the markings. I've got the kit decals and a sheet of Hi-Decals for the 47 so that will be cool By the way, you can try to use a bit of putty to cover the vents and moisten your finger in finger nail polish remover to get a smooth blend without having to sand in those tough spots. Also, I think the UH-72 has different skids than those pictured. They
  11. Thanks Julien, I've seen the Syhart decals and even though they look pretty good, I sure would like to have a set of nice, old, standard operational scheme decals. I like my birds to look like they're ready for "business". Cheers, WARDOG
  12. Hi All, Looking for the rotors from a Matchbox CH-47 kit (or Italeri rotors if they have the correct tapered edge near the rotor hub) and EITHER the Anniversary (#176) OR 50 Flight Hours (#210) section of Two Bobs Colorful Gripens sheet. Will trade for or buy. Thanks, Glynn "WARDOG" Jacobs
  13. Well all you Mirage IV fans, we have finally gotten some new items for the 72nd Heller kit. PAVLA has come out with a very nice looking (in pics, anyway) cockpit set and CT-52 Recce pod! WOW, I don't have to continue trying to scratch-build and make a master for resin now!!! The CT-52 probably could have included the exhaust-mounted ECM and some pylons for the other ECM pod but, I think I can make it from here! Now, all we need are some GOOD decals for the "Gascogne" squadron like maybe a reduced 1/48th Up North sheet. Outstanding Madame Pavla! Keep up the good work! Glynn "WARDOG" Jaco
  14. Hi Greg, I may have what you're looking for. Contact me directly at glynnj@swbell.net and we will try to get you taken care of. Cheers, WARDOG
  15. Model Alliance are SUPPOSED to be making a conversion set for the Kiwi SH-2G, including decals but it hasn't been done yet. I have often thought about attempting to make a resin mod set but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Finding good drawings of the engines and other mods has not been too easy! By far, the best kit to use is the AIRFIX SH-2. It has pretty decent internal detail and pretty good shape. It also is easier to assemble than the more-expensive Fujimi kit. The Fujimi kit was the pretty basic detail-wise and pretty hard to dry-assemble. I'm sure that if a decent resin set
  16. Yeah, How about some resin to make a "G" model that the Kiwis (or Poles) use? Perhaps the engines and other items to bring it up to standards. Oh, in 72nd scale though! WARDOG
  17. In 72nd Scale; I second the update for the USMC UN-1N, and... a cockpit and weapons set for the PAH-1 (Bo-105), an update for the flotation bags, weps, (ECM) lumps and bumps, and decals for the UH-46, 5-segment air filters and lumps and bumps for the Israeli CH-53 Yas' ur, the lumps and bumps, exhaust correction and cockpit for the latest Royal Marine Gazelle AH-1s, and, finally, a Medi-Hawk conversion kit for the Hasegawa or Italeri Blackhawks. WARDOG
  18. D'oh!! I'm building in 72nd scale ("Space...the final reqirement"). WARDOG
  19. Title says it all! I'm looking for one to build as a Marine Corps KC-130T from JRB Ft. Worth. (or Italeri can just sell me the sprue tree with the sponsons and new rear doors!!!). I'll part out my Italeri C-130H if someone need the parts (like the fuselage to make a stretched C-130J-30 bird). Appreciate the help, WARDOG
  20. Hi Mike, INSPIRING! Very Nice work!! I'm beginning to build a Marine Corps KC-130T from the Italeri C-130E/H kit and am happy to use some of your techniques. I have D.B. Conversions refuelling units and newer engines (not the ones for the "J" model), and Ron's Resins sponson mods, A.C., and electronics dome to bring the kit up to date. The only other thing thats mising to update the kit are some good, grey scheme decals (PLEASE Vince Maddox!). I've started some of the basic assembly but haven't done too much. I will try to get the hang of posting pics as soon as the digital camera and
  21. found here: www.airliners.net/open.file/1052694/L/. I would appreciate any help identifying the closest Model Master or Humbrol paints I could use. (Always had a problem trying to mix the correct colors!) Anyway, I guess the next step would be to find the grey markings and stencils for a Marine bird. Happy New Year to All, WARDOG
  22. Hi Bruce, Here is the direct link to Flying Frog. I was informed that they are virus free, the problem was actually in my McAfee. I'm not having any problems unless I go to the intro pages. These are some great detail shots!!! Copy or cut and Paste this addy; http://www.ffsmc.com/modules.php?set_album....php&page=1 Hope This Helps, WARDOG
  23. Happy Birthday Bruce, I got the kit at a good price because "I wanted one" and it has been sitting on the shelf as a "to do" kit for a while. Not much detail, horrible decals, and the crazy "Shower door" clear parts all conspire against it but as you said, its the only game in town. I want to make a French bird with mine so I'll probably have to photo-copy the thick, out-of-register decals decals onto some white decal paper and then use a small rotary sander to clean up the inside of the cockpit glazing. Then add a LOT of internal details. And finally, try to figure out the correct colo
  24. EXCELLENT!, Now we just need these in 72nd scale!!! (AND a resin set with all the lumps and bumps and weps to up-date the Italeri or Fujimi kits< SIGH!). WARDOG
  25. Gents, I have an Italeri Mi-8 Hip with Eduard P/E and Dragon weapons AND a Fujimi UH-1N that I would like to trade for a Revell of Germany MH-47 Chinook OR a Mi-8T Hip. Any takers? Contact me directly for details. Cheers, Glynn "WARDOG" Jacobs glynnj@swbell.net
