  1. Of course we're NUTS! But it sure is fun! :)
  2. The Marauder will be released before the P-61. They have commonality in engines, tires and props, and the -61 is just in the early stages of design. The two guys doing the -61 will be useing the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum bird for reference and detailing, so it will most likely be Fall or Christmas of 2011 before release. The -25 will be released in December 2010 in the solid gun nose version, with the glass nose out in Jan. 2011 and the canon nose out in Feb. At least that is the schedule I saw on the web site.
  3. From what I've read the price (at present) will be about 100 Euros. Which isn't bad at all for such a kit.
  4. These were given to me, and all are in the factory sealed bags with the plans with two exceptions as noted below. There are no boxes, and I didn't open any of the bags. As far as I know there are no decals unless they are inside the plans in the bags. Cost will be $10.00 each plus the cost of sending them to you. Paypal is accepted as well as cash, check or money order. So here goes. Three (3) Macchi C.200 Saetta's with plans dated as 1985. Molded in tan plastic. Two (2) Sopwith Triplanes with plans dated as 1980. Molded in tan plastic. Three (3) Polikarpov I-16's one of which was not in t
  5. Had a date with the Ex Saturday to dine and see a flick; as we pulled into the theatre parking lot I asked her what movie she wanted to see. Said she didn't know. I asked if she would rather eat first; said she wasn't all that hungry. So I asked "What do you want to do?" And she said "Let's go to Gulf Shores and see how bad the situation is with the oil." So I filled up the tank and off we went. Got down there, parked at the beach, took off our shoes and walked out to the edge of the water. This was at 9PM and a full moon was up. There was only a light odor, something akin to diesel fuel. Co
  6. No matter what scheme an F7F wears, it is THE most elegant looking aircraft to EVER fly!
  7. Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo Always A Guy Named Joe Fighter Squadron
  8. You should ask this question on the Large Scale Planes site.
  9. Montgomery to two shops in Atlanta, and more frequently to Pensacola and Bobe's and The Museum.
  10. I'm a GRIT; been eating barbeque longer than I care to remember, cooked by family and strangers. That cooked down here is the best and even it has variations. I've eaten northern barbeque (as in north of the Ohio River) in Cincy, Indianapolis, Chicago and Pittsburgh. I've had some in Des Moines, St. Louis, Oklahoma City & Tulsa, Dallas and Ft. Worth, Amarillo and Houston and Denver. I've eaten what was called barbeque in Vermont, Syracuse, Utica, Albany and NYC, New York, and in Philly, Lancaster and Harrisburg, PA. I've had Maryland's version, and New Jersey's style as well as Northern a
  11. So if he wanted to sell ALL his product, why didn't he go to the widest audience possible?
  12. The site description says "the only F-14 kill". So what aircraft shot down the Libyan aircraft over the Med back in the '80's?
  13. Anyone here a "Member" of the defunct, disgraced, black listing organization? "Cause if you are, HE'S having a decal sale.
  14. Twenty-five dollars an hour is about right, except for friends/relatives, then I drop down to fifteen dollars an hour.
  15. The Thunderchickens is the Marine squadron operating the Osprey.
  16. You are right...the formation with the dented cowling bird center of the photo. Thanks.
  17. Are you taking any pre-production orders?
  18. Jerry Rutman makes a set, so you will not need to buy an entire kit just for the props. Jerry is on the web.
  19. File this under "if only".... 1/32nd Kingfisher, SB2C, P-61, B-25, Vindicator, B-26 Marauder, A-26 Invader, A-1J/H, and A-1E.
  20. Been there many times...got hats to prove it. DON'T take a cell phone camera....you'll regret it...forever. This place has so many perfectly painted and restored Naval aircraft (including rare birds) that you'll need extra batteries and photo cards. For instance...an SBD that was actually used on Guadalcanal...with the photos to prove it. And you can walk right up to it and look inside. If it was ever flown by anyone associated with Naval Air it's in this museum. And there is a darn good restaurant inside with EVERY Naval Air Squadron plaque posted that was actually in the Cubi Point Officer
  21. In addition to the cowling being wrong, so is the prop, but Jerry Rutman makes the correct version. A pair of guys on LSP are making a resin corrected cowl useing the Revell cowling. Log into LSP and do the search thingy. Master Casters makes a beautiful cowl flap replacement. The small front landing gear door and the wing area it fits when retracted is wrong. If you've got a Revell kit, salvage the lower wing center section and gear doors. The engine exhaust port cut-out is wrong. Check your references. You should replace the engine....Vector makes the best P & W R-2800, and since y
