Need the two unused front clamshell doors for the aft pylon from the HC.2/CH-47F kit (or any kit that doesn't use them) . The ones without the cutout. See shaded are in the sprue layout below. Happy to pay a reasonable fee. Thanks for looking.

The Bell 47 is one of my favorites, and I've been researching it for a very long time. As best I can determine, the wide cabin has a width of 5ft. 'Jane's All the Worlds Aircraft for 68-69', and Pelletier's 'Bell Aircraft Since 1935' both mention the 47G-3B1/2 having the cabin "widened by 8 inches to 5ft". In 1/48, 5ft is 31.75mm, and the Italeri kit measures 35mm. Probably close enough to be accurate for the TH-13T derived from the B1/2. My biggest issue is the width of the tail boom. I think it's about 6mm too wide. Where the tailboom joins the center structure, the width should be 27

With the re-release of Italeri's V-22 Osprey in 1/72 scale with new decals, it would be nice if some after-market decal maker would come out with the yellow emergency exit surrounds, rescue arrows, and walkways. Please, guys?

Posted this in 'Buy and Sell' as well, but don't know how many people visit there. Looking for the Eduard etch 48309 for the Italeri 1/48 OH-13S. All reasonable offers considered. Thanks.

UH-1B with XM26, has this ever been done in 1/35?

Except for the fin, and the rotor, and the fuel filler, and the horizontal stabs...... -
The Revell "Goodbye Huey" has troop seats. Maybe if you contact Revell....

What's reasonable? I have one best described as a 'builders kit'; original box, but some parts of the boom, and the landing skids have been modified, will need to be soldered and or replaced (tried to switch the original square skid with later curved),all the plastic and decals are intact except one cylinder head piece is lost, but a resin casting is included. Give me a while, and I'll have pictures.

Boarding ladders in the aft end of the sponsons, and fold down walkways along the sides of the cockpit. the outlines of the platforms are molded into the fuselage.

1/72 V-22 Osprey White Prototype Decal Source?
jstar replied to jstar's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Thanks, all, for your help. Have found a source for the decals for the prototype at 'parkes68decals' , and the seats are Martin Baker US10E-1 according to 'Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey: An Aeroguide Special' by Anthony Thornborough. Four nice picture of the seat in there. -

jstar replied to jstar's topic in Helicopter Modeling
I don't but I'm sure the Aerofax (Jay's company) book does. Thanks, I have that. Bought it as soon as it came out. It's the part you quoted got me to ask. I'll have to see if I can find the copy of WAPJ. -
1/72 V-22 Osprey White Prototype Decal Source?
jstar replied to jstar's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Now, that is a fun fact. I've only see one or two Osprey in flight, same for the XV-15. Currently working on Anigrand's XV-3 and XV-15, as well as Italeri's Osprey. Do you by any chance have photos of the Osprey interior? Curious about the ejections seats installed on the first three prototypes. -

1/72 V-22 Osprey White Prototype Decal Source?
jstar replied to jstar's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Yes, that was my first thought. And I have a considerable selection of decals to choose from. But the outlines around emergency exits, the proper size flags, and dry transfer letters of the proper size and font are not so easy to source. So if I can find a premade set of decals, so much the better. -
Looking for decals for a 1/72 V-22 Osprey prototype in the all-white scheme, maybe with the dayglo panels. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Korean War era Marines Bell 47D colors
jstar replied to midnightprowler's topic in Helicopter Modeling
I'd think the interior of a Marine HTL-4 ( what the Navy called them) would be 'interior gray'. There are a few color pictured out there; https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Navy/Bell-HTL-4-47/344027 is an early one, gloss blue and gray interior. Here's a Sikorsky HOSS in gloss blue and gray: https://www.airspacemag.com/military-aviation/rotary-rescue-124602632/ -
Thank you! That's terrific, and answers a lot of questions I had on the operation of the launch rails. Just great. Joe

Were the doors to the three weapons bays on the F-102 always opened at the same time in an intercept, or were they/could they open individually as required?

I have found the Army Aviation Museum to be very helpful, : https://www.armyaviationmuseum.org/ Haven't tried here, but the Army Medical Department Museum may be helpful: https://ameddmuseum.amedd.army.mil/index.htm Website of the guys who actually used the surgical pod in Vietnam: https://15thmedbnassociation.org/Photos/15th-Med-Bn-Photos5.aspx There are pictures of the pods, and at least one of the rear end with the door/ramp open. Same open ramp picture, plus one with a surgeon at work here: Information about its use about ha

Anybody doing/have done Monograms 1/48 B-29 as a 'Silverplate' and have a turret and gun retainer (parts 37 and 38) they didn't use and don't need? Happy to pay a little for the parts and postage. Joe
