Tomcat Fanatic
Did Nellis AFB permanently receive Raptors like Tyndall and Langley did?
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Yes. Could you be a little less ambiguous? I mean, this sitting on the fence bit doesn't quite suit you...

Tomcat Fanatic
Thanks, Waco. Second question: What units have raptors now, and where are they based, and what units are going to get them in future, and where will they be based? If you're not allowed to answer that, I understand.
Trigger
LOL, kinda reminds me of that old SNL skit from January 1991. Rob Schneider plays a reporter from the Baghdad Times and at a US military press conference in Saudi Arabia he asks "Where are your troops, and may I go there and count them?" It's not a secret what units are flying Raptors right now. AWFC, Nellis AFB 43rd FS Tyndall AFB, FL 1st FW Langley AFB, VA Coming soon: 90th FS Elmendorf AFB, AK 199th FS (HI ANG)/531st FS (Active Unit) Hickam AFB, Hawaii Rumored (at least it was a rumor last time I heard about it) 49th FW Holloman AFB, NM I don't know for certain if Edwards is still flying F-22s; probably so, but I just can't say for certain
Murph
Rumored (at least it was a rumor last time I heard about it)49th FW Holloman AFB, NM I don't know for certain if Edwards is still flying F-22s; probably so, but I just can't say for certain Holloman has been announced as the next base, following Elmo, to receive F-22's, and yes, Edwards still has some Raptors. Keith Diamond
now is this still written in jello?
Murph
now is this still written in jello? Till they actually show up, anything is possible, but I'd be surprised if Holloman changes. It has good range space and facilities to support an L.O. aircraft already. Regards, Murph
Keith Diamond
ah, thanks for the information Murph. It just seems like talk has been more "solid" than jello-esque recently Edited February 7, 2007 by Keith Diamond
GreyGhost
Edwards will probably have at least a few F-22s around for the lifetime of it's service ... just to test new "things" as they come about ... Gregg

Keith Diamond
What was this thread about again? we were talking about those jello shot injectors you can find in strip clubs sometimes. Sucks when they stick a grape in it, cuz it gets all jammed up and gets all over the stripper giving you a lapdance
David Walker
Oh, okay. I'm back up to speed again then.
Sunliner
If anyone offers you jello with "raisins" in it, you should pass. It's not really raisins.
