internationalblue
French 17544 I have no record yet... M-43 Netherlands KLu c/n 5446 51-4152 ex belgian 4.62 soc 1972 French 314-v1 unknown...don't have all my cross references done... Loaned to National Museum of Naval Aviation, Pensacola, FL 57-0687 colorful was with (26th TRW) SOC May 6, 1968 for transfer under MAP...to where? 51-6718 to French AF. Whats neat is the picture clearly shows the Turkish flag. Was to go to Turkish AF but instead went into storage at Sculthorpe AB in England. Eventually went to City of Norwich Aviation Museum. 53-5854 is at the Glenn L Martin Museum in Maryland in the same paint..but displayed outside. 133180 looks wonderful at an airshow...but fate unknown 21435, is on a pole static Red Knight displayed Trenton Airport CYTR as 133435 133490 is With No. 417 (Combat Support)1995, at CFB Cold Lake, Alberta. To Boeing as N490X 52-9595 with the Phillippine AF may no longer be with us.... FAB 616 is ex RCAF 133580, the one that followed Paul's bird off the production line. To C-GWHN, to FAB 616 operated by GA-51, crashed on 22.5.1989 The stunning chamoflauged Bolivian 621 is ex RCAF 21015...the 15th RCAF Silver Star...and ex French AF! The Latin AMerican birds have been tough to track... Thanbk you for putting the pictures up...and any database info on Foreign AF T-33 use is welcomed...looking for French Dutch, Belgian...ect.. This one is in a yard outside of DFW Texas....hwy 81? perhaps...in company with two other forward fuselages. It was on display at Reese AFB before it closed, but then it was just extra stuff the USAF had no use for... Keep em' flying!
internationalblue
Surprised when I landed on the Kenai Peninsula airport just after seeing a bunch of T-33's in Utah...this is Alaska ANG 52-9772 (c/n 580-8032) to MASDC Feb 1, 1985. Noted summer 2005 preserved at Kenai ANGB, AK . It was neat to see there...but tough weather. Still she made it out of MASDC! internationalblue
Just landed in Colorado Springs and saw this USAF T-33 lying in the base fire training area at Peterson AFB...Anyone have any idea who she is? As an aside the Columbian Air Force operated 6 T-33 aircraft until 1973, and 18 F-80C fighters until??? There is a preserved "2033" photographed...but I have no serials yet. internationalblue
the T-33 at the fire pit in KCOS 12.2.10 Lockheed T-33A-1-LO 53-4900 to AMARC as TC1324 Mar 5, 1987. Still on AMARC inventory Jan 15, 2008. This one, 57-0536 ended up in Saudi Arabia....the F-100 behind her, 56-3319 (48th TFW/492nd TFS) crashed 32 miles south-south-east of Wheelus AB, Libya on Mar 18, 1969. The Pilot ejected safely..... internationalblue
Two more from the same production block...class of 57' Lockheed T-33A-5-LO 57-0594 (26th TRW) was SOC Mar 6, 1973 for spares recovery.... 57-0561 looking a little worn went to the Turkish Air Force...but there is no record of her service there...perhaps reduced to spares on arrival...or somehow as a major parts donor to a wrecked bird she found the air again... internationalblue
Blending into the woods....forgotten to all but the owner a T-33A-1LO remains only a shadow of her former self... however the counter arguement posed by 56-3659 of an attempt at public survival has not served her any better... The Rat
Outside a Royal Canadian Legion near Barrie, Ontario: And a wee detail shot of the one at the Canadian Air and Space Museum, a very short knife used to smash the canopy in an emergency. Nikonfan
I don't suppose anyone has images of a CT-133 that has just arrived for display at the RAF Manston History Museum in Kent, UK? Our recent arrival went by the following designations; RCAF 21231 - RCAF 133231 - N10018(?) - N134AT - N333DV - N36TH - G-BYOY Anything would be of great interest.
