Marlin
Hi gang, I've now started the C. I'll be adding Isracast conversionset to make the Tamya F-16C into a Barak C. I've begun painting all the whiteparts. And just to get the show on the road. I've put the cockpit together. To Be Continued. :( /Bosse Edited January 17, 2010 by Marlin

Thanks Guys, I intend to make some progress on the C tonight. The Tamiya kit looks an absolute dream, I've built Tamiyas P-47 and this one is at least as good as that one. Check back later tonight to see if I've made any progress. ;) /Bosse
Marlin
Hi Gang Well I did say I was going to build on the C tonight. But I can't say I did. But I did continue on the whitepainting and detailpainted the cockpit. I satisfied with the result. Now I can put the cockpit together and start on the fuselage. Perhaps I'll have time for some more tomorrow evening. /Bosse
Marlin
Well, I must be tired. I forgot to add the pics of the MLG for the Kinetics Sufa I've been slaving with all evening. Here they are. I'll contiune work on this tomorrow. G'night all /Bosse
4scourge7
Yo Marlin, You are handling all those little fiddly bits with your usual skill I see, nice cockpit. Look forward to seeing more! Cheers, Ian
Marlin
Hi, Almost all the little fiddly bit of the MLG is in place. And the flaps and slats are also in place. I really like the Kinetic Sufa, it's fun to work with. I've got the exhaust to put together and the tail before I can start paint the Sufa. I've also put the white metal antennas of the Airwave set on the D-model. There is a bit work to do on the D before I can even begin to think about painting. The C is almost ready to close up the fuselage. I put the inlet and MLGbay together tonight. So perhaps I can close that up by tomorrow. I'll post more pics of the C when I've something to show. Thanks for looking and welcome back. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi, I haven't started painting yet. But the fuselage of the C is closed now. And I've put the wings on. Actually when glueing the wings on. My old bottle of Contact Glue from Revell run out. I've had it for more than 10 years. But I'm not out off glue. A fresh bottle bought a week ago sits on my table now. I've also finished the MLG of the Sufa. Some small works remains before I can start painting that one. And I've also started to lay some paint on the ordnance of my F-16's. The SDB's for the Sufa hasn't arrived from Hong Kong yet. I don't buy them directly from Lucky Models, I get my LHS to order them for me instead. I think of it as a win-win-situation. I don't get the hassle with taxes, VAT and customs. And they get a very satisfied customer. Thats it for to night. Now I' off to bed. Sleep tight /Bosse
Marlin
Hi Gang, Well it's friday again. This is what I've had time for during the week. First the fuselage of the C is almost done. And I've put Isracast sideplates on it to get the IDF/AF antennas. I think I was a little careless with the razorsaw. I did get a rather large gap. But I've filled that with some CA-glue. I've also filled the gaps in the cockpit of the D-bl40 And I've put the IP for the backseat in its place. I still have some gaps to fill here but that will be done before this evening is over. That's it what I had time for. Now I'm off to the worktable to see what can be done tonight. ;) /Bosse
Marlin
Hi again. Well it's Friday again. During the week I've tried to get the C together. And the D-40 cockpit is done. But this wednesday the Postman?(woman) delivered my new goodies from Skunkworks. I was away on a businesstrip, but when I got home in hte middle of the night I opened the box. Almost all of the contents is of no interest to me, but the SBD's are. Yesterday I started to put them together. And now they're painted. That's it for now, but I'll be working for some hours more. I'm waiting for the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Vancouver, six hours from now..... More will follow...... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi Gang, It's time for a small progress report. The GBU-15 for the D-30 is almost done. But I haven't started that aircraft yet. The exhaust for the Sufa is done. And I've started to paint the aircrafts The painting will take me sometime. I'm using Xtracolor as usual and they take atleast a day to dry. So now when this is drying I'm continuing with the rest of the ordnance and perhaps I'll start the F-16D.bl30. That's all for now. /Bosse Edited February 21, 2010 by Marlin

Qian
Coming very very nicely there Bosse! But can I just ask what are the Gunze color numbers that you used for the green? In my opinion, it looks just the real green on the IDF vipers. Keep up the good work!

In my opinion, it looks just the real green on the IDF vipers. Keep up the good work! Hi Qian, I don't use Gunze, I use Xtracolor from Hannants. The green is X166 Israeli F-16 Green FS 14424. (Also good for Kfir C-7 and F-15I Raám) Humbrol 90 RAF Sky Type S is also a good match. But I prefer Xtracolor even though it takes forever to dry. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi gang, It's been awhile since I had the time to work on my aircrafts. But some I've made some small progress since the last update. I've painted the second coat on all three. And I've got the SBD's and BRU-61 racks together and painted. Hopefully my things will slow down a bit at work so I'll have some more time to complete my aircrafts. Thats it for now. Back to the bench..... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi Gang, I have got the first cold of this year I had an accident with my Barak C. I held it in my hand and was going to do some work on it, and started sneezing. I dropped it on my desk and cracked the out edge of the left hand wingtip. Thankfully the undercarriage or anything else broke. The part that broke off is now food for the carpet monster. I couldn't find it so I inserted a bit of plasticard instead. A few sweeps with a sandingstick and some scribing and riveting I think it'll be OK. As the plasticard was already out, I did some scratchbuilding as well. The pre-cooler on the IDF/AF Block 40 Barak differs somewhat from the standard. I got a resinpart from the Israset that I tried my best to duplicate with a few strips of plasticard. I'll need one for the Barak C.40 and one for the D.40, so I made two of them. I'm not using the resinbit on the C. Instead I'll keep it as a master for future use. Here's the first one mounted to the C. I've also put the decal on the Spicebombs. I think they looks great. Skunkmodels Works stuff is really great. They come with the best decals I've ever used. Now I'm off to bed and see if I can't sleep this b----y cold off. More will follow........ /Bosse
Marlin
Hi, I'm still nursing the Cold from H... Thankfully there are aircrafts to work on. I decided to use some parts from one of my Isracast Sufa sets. I don't think I'll get around to use a full set now that there are two Sufa kits on the market. I took the "beercans" and geardoor for use on the Barak D.40 The antenna on the underside of the intake is from the Kinetic kit. There is two in the kit. I've also put my scratchbuilt pre-cooler in place on the D. I've also put the last resinbits on the Barak C And I've put on the decals (12 on each) on the 600 gallon droptanks. This set will eventually find its way on the C. Now I'm planing to put some decals to the Pythons. That will take me some time. There´s 18-20 to every Python. I've painted the topcolours on all three aircraft. Now they are waiting for some decals. But that will have to wait until the weekend. I prefer to wait atleast 48 hours for the paint to cure fully before decaling. Well it's on to the Pythons then..... Later.. /Bosse
