Tripio
Nice... Any special markings? What kand of cockpit parts do you have?Nice drybrushing. Keep the up-dates coming...
ALPH
thanks tripio for the marking i don't know yet. I made a mold of the monogram f-4j's consoles. The parts are, actually, not painted but molded in 2 colors with tinted future floor (grey and black) the other parts are made by scratch. Giovanni
Hi, I love this subject. "J" is the best Phantom ever. I see a lot of fine detailing. Scratch building is fashinating. Better than using resin or photoetch sets. Well done! And I love smaller scale. 1\72 is the best in my opinion. Bigger is toylike (with some exception). I will follow your progress. Have a nice time while modelling! Giovanni
AndrewS
Excellent work, ALPH. Lovely improvements made to the kit, especially in the cockpit and on the canopy sills. I'm looking forward to more of your work. Cheers, Andrew.

ALPH
Hi i let the cockpit a moment to work on other parts and when it's done, HURRA, i can see a space. it's not really important, but it's fun Edited February 7, 2010 by ALPH
Giovanni
WOW, really a fine job. I can see a master of sratchbuilding here! The idea of the picture inside air intake doesn't convince me, to be honest. At least the picture should be something higher resoltion, in my opinion. In any case...lovely job! kurnass77
Wow mate! Great scratch building process! I made the same changes on my RF-4C on the vents of the intake ramps, fuel dump pipe, the cooling engine bay inlets at the base of the tail fin and the cockpit cool air inlet, but the rest of your work is really impressive! :) I am in agreement with Giovanni in the outcome of intakes, perhaps the use of pictures with higher resolution would improve the work, however, are happy to see new ideas for solving problems like these! Good luck with your project. What Squadron who have decided to accomplish? Marines or Navy? Cheers,Gianni
ALPH
Thanks guys, You're absolutely right about the picture. It was print in low resolution for testing the idea and see what i can see when it's closed. But without the flash and the macro position on the camera, to the naked eye, i really can't see the pixels. It's just a quick solution because i'm a little lazy , but right now i'm making the FODs. I think i'm gonna make a F-4J of the WMFA 212 "Lancer". regards ALPH Edited February 8, 2010 by ALPH
ALPH
I've just finished the first FOD

ALPH
Hi there is no progress on this project, because i'm giving scratchbuilt "lessons" for beginners on a french forum. The concept is very simple, the teachers and the students build the same model (Mirage F-1), and we discuss about it. you can see more here : http://fighters.forumactif.com/le-montage-des-debutants-f75/
GreyGhost
Very nice scratch work here, ALPH ... I can't wait to see more ... Gregg
