joeltc
I've seen an online comparison of both and Tamiya is superior in every way except price.
Alternative 4
Those RAAF markings look pretty sweet too. I was lucky enough to see A35-009 fly at Avalon the other week.
airmechaja
Yes you need it. I bought it after I saw the video of the assembly process - Brilliant!

Dave Williams
What does “are you a tween child” mean?

Is he an immature child that must be told what to do or is he an adult? Tween specifically refers to the pre-teenager ages of about 9-12.

Indecisive. If the kits aren't that much different in fit or detail, the meng kit would be enough.

What a weird take. The guy has one kit, but not the other. Without owning the other, he cant assess the quality of the other compared to the one he does own. So he is asking those people with both what they think. This is perfectly reasonable. You may need to give that Crash Test Dummy head a shake.

ORANGF15Guy
Just ordered mine too! And ordered some aftermarket stuff…..KASL ejection seat and landing gear and wheels and a exhaust nozzle and FOD covers from Detail and Wonder studios! Cant wait!
Lusitanian
The Tamiya kit is far more accurate than the Meng kit. The surface detail is still (IMHO) overdone when compared to looking at the real airplane close up, but the kit literally builds itself. It’s worth buying just to marvel at the engineering and fit.
