Skinny_Mike
Hello everyone! I found this picture during a routine search on F-4s in Vietnam. I'm just trying to figure out if this is an F-4C or F-4D. Thanks!
RichB63
F-4C serial number 63-7438 Edited November 6, 2023 by RichB63
Stefan buysse
Hi, RichB63 already answered the question, but that's a pretty neat picture. That looks like Zuni rocket pods under the starboard wing to me and I don't recall seeing Zuni's on a USAF F-4 before. I also don't recall seeing them on the aft stations of a MER before. Cheers, Stefan.
Geoff M
It also looks like a fuel tank on the left outboard, pretty asymmetric load.

Definitely an interesting photo. Imagine going out to drop 750 pound bombs at night with the help of flares that you drop yourself! Cheers, Stefan.
DET1460
Rare to see a Rhino looking so good in that environment. Just from the paint shop or just in from the States. "Ain't that perdy!" DET1460
