theplasticsurgeon
Douglas B-26C Invader 1/72. Straight out of the box - with no modifications except tape seatbelts. No ballast - and not a tailsitter. Tailsitting WAS expected and mitigated with a prop under the periscope - which wasn't required.

Bennygmanuk
What BMF did you use?MikeJ Thanks Mike, It's in overall Alclad Aluminium, with dark aluminium for the control surfaces and the armour plate around the cockpit and engine. I primed with Halfords auto primer, but couldn't sand the surface without removing the raised panel detail. Instead I tried brushing a future coat to smooth it out. This worked to some extent, though perhaps a couple more coats would have reduced the graininess more - I'll experiment with that. On the cowling I used the normal grey primer instead of the 'plastic specific' one and it seemed a little smoother (and thankfully didn't melt the plastic). On the P-80 I'll be trying a gloss black undercoat for the first time - could be fun from what I've read. Glad you like it, Steve.
