RF-4E Phantom II, 1/48

Hi gents, becouse I can´t find my very old topic with RF-4EJ, must create this new topic.

And what´s new on this old project? New camo-scheme. Now it´s HAF RF-4E.

freehand camo by iwata HP-BH. Colors are mix of GSI-C. Next progress will be tomorow.

Before you start the weathering, you should make some changes to the models though in order to get it accurate. To do a Greek RF-4E you´ll need to remove the RWR sensors from the fin and wing tips and you need to use Airforce style inner wing pylons. Also the Navy refuelling probe door (right hand side rear cockpit wall) and all the strip formation lights need to be filled.

you are absolutelly right, I know about it. Among others I have a bad "camera nose" type ....

but this build is really for fun. It´s test of my new iwata.

Looking really sharp!

How did it go togheter? I'm working on the same kit right now and it's a real pain in the **s.

The two fuselage halves were warped, so alot of sanding and filling was neccesery.
