These two are actually Harbin H-5's - Chinese copies of the Il-28.

Note the different shape of the tail turrets - the H-5 is shaped like a dustbin, the Il-28's is spherical.

my recognition of the old Soviet stuff is not to hot at the best of times, the Chinese copies is even worse.

At least I know if I get it wrong there will be people to correct me.

Always like the Beagle, it seemed like a more sophisticated and cleaner design than it's western counterpart, the Canberra. No idea if it offered better performance / payload but it just looks better (IMHO).

No - the one next to it is a 'standard' H-5 bomber.

There is another one in the cavern - a HJ-5 trainer (same as first pic in Sean's post - the Il-28U)

Thans for posting it.. what is that Jet on the left of the picture as WE look at it.?

Thats a Yak-40.

Sad to see them all here ..and I see that there are other kinds of aircrafts too...must be quite a collection..

{MY curious inquisitive mind is asking is that a MiG in the background Sean, AS SEEN under the wing}
