Mike C
Tamiya or Gunze. Can't seem to find Future/Klear here in Melbourne, Australia. Or maybe I haven't looked hard enough. EDIT: I usually thin Tamiya/Gunze acrylic with Methylated Spirits, way cheaper than hobby thinner, same result. Edited March 12, 2010 by Mike C
Old Blind Dog
Polly Scale until I run out. (Picked up ten more bottles of Clear Gloss last month). I find Future inconsistent and unpredicatble. cheers Old Blind Dog
balls47
Future, straight from the bottle. I don't thin it with anything. I have airbrushed it and hand-brushed it, with good results both ways. I also like dipping canopies in Future. I have used Glosscote on occasion, but I will probably not buy anymore when that runs out. I'll stay with Future.
caiotfjr
Future, straight from the bottle in the airbrush and Revell Aqua when needed to paintbrush.
Janissary
Used to airbrush Future straight from the bottle, which was ok. Now, I cut it with 20% Windex original. What a change! I get a glass like finish (which at times results in a more glossy finish than I want).
Kalashnikov-47
Future....I'm such a conformist....
gotarheelz14
I first started with Future. Absolutely HATED spraying it. I found it to be extremely inconsistent, soft to the touch and very unpredictable. I then started brushing it which was better but I could just not muster up the patient to wait to recoat/rebrush. I would get these huge smear marks from where the Future had dried. I then moved on to Tamiya Acrylic gloss. It didnt really spray like what I was expecting it. I stupidly expected it to spray like their flat series but it was really time consuming for me to try to get it right. I have since switched back to Future and man oh man what a change. I have since been airbrushing it in really thin mist coats. Let that dry so that it is sort of tacky (within minutes) then go back over with a medium heavy coat let that dry (within minutes) go back and do a really heavy coat. I now get mirrorlike gloss coats to anything I spray future on. I have now learned to simply walk away from the modeling table and let future dry for about 30 minutes. I have found this is all it takes to dry.
Ranger_Chris61
Testors, I have had not much luck using future
kurnass77
Tamiya Clear X-22 and Vallejo Acrylic Gloss in spray; in fact when I use Gunze colors (ever) , having painted the camo after spraying a first layer of Clear Tamiya and finish the model with the gloss and matt of Vallejo. Spray the first coat with Tamiya because in the past the Gunze have reacted badly with the Clear Vallejo directly on them, forming an effect craquelè Gianni
leverancier
vallejo spray cans, the best I've ever used.
