  1. The RAF roundel can be, and is, trademarked, as it is the personal property of HM the Queen. The USAF insignia, on the other hand, is the property of the People of the United States, and cannot be trademarked.
  2. Have a look: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...0060802370.html
  3. So how much do you thin it? The old "consistency of milk" thing?
  4. So what is the best primer to use under acrylics (mostly MM and Polly S)?
  5. It wasn't F-4s being dumped off flight decks, it was Hueys. They dumped them when so many VNAF Hueys landed on USS Blue Ridge in the final evacuation that there wasn't room for any more. No former US aircraft that were not used by the VNAF were ever used by the North Vietnamese. The only US aircraft left in Vietnam in 1975 that weren't in VNAF service were in small pieces scattered across the Vietnamese countryside.
  6. Did? Still do: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Vietnam---A...uois/1170312/L/
  7. So how do you properly thin Mr. Surfacer for airbrushing? And how do you clean the airbrush after?
  8. Does the $416 include the extension on your house you'll need to build in order to keep it?
  9. I was just myself exposed to this new film experience. If you haven't been, well... If that doesn't make you want to see more, then I don't know what's wrong with you!
  10. EDIT: Added another kit to the list. Don't stop making offers! I'll let this stuff go cheaper than you'd think!
  11. So I have an Eastern Express MiG-21-93, which I intend to make into an Indian Air Force "Bison". The cockpit sucks. I want a resin replacement. I don't think there is such a thing, though. However, Pavla offers several MiG-21 resin cockpits in 1/72 - including ones for the MiG-21F+, PF+, and PFM+. Understanding that all of them would need work to look close to right, which one would be closest towards looking right? Any further advice for sprucing up this kit and its interior?
  12. So I have one blurry (print) picture of what looks like a P-80 Shooting Star in NACA colors. It's the one on the back of the Cutting Edge NASA logos sheet. Dunno what color it is - not bare metal. It's got a big red and white stripe oversize pitot tube on the left wing. A web search turns up no pictures of this airplane. Can anyone find any? I'd appreciate it.
  13. No, but I did hear from ...
  14. So I've decided from the (few, mostly blurry) pictures I've seen that I absolutely love the colors that Indonesia's A-4E Skyhawks wore during their service. Does anyone have any source of better pictures (and maybe a walkaround) for the Indonesian Scooter? Does anyone know of any 1/72 decal sheets for these birds? Thanks!
  15. I think I found that ATARI F-18 Hornet set you were asking for...
  16. Don't forget the official motto of the Canadian Air And Space Museum: "Take off, you hosers!"

  18. You sure it was a cartoon and not this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_King
  19. Depends on what generation MiG-23/27 you're looking for. There was some article here not long ago that debunked the myth that the Hasegawa -23 is a terribly inaccurate kit. It's not perfect (what is?), but it's a pretty dang accurate first-generation Flogger. The Hasegawa -27 is also a an early version. Also pretty accurate for what it is. For later Floggers, go Zvezda.

  21. So are you saying that the Fitter... didn't?
  22. My Cutting Edge 1/144 NB-52 conversion (already built, so don't bother asking  )
