  1. Hi.. I understand this isn't modelling related but thought I'd pass along the warning anyway. This is a very sophisticated scam. There is a small group of people in Texas calling from 940 759 4745 claiming to be the fraud department of VISA, Mastercard, or whomever. They called my girl friend this morning at 8am claiming that someone had fraudulently tried to use her account to wire transfer money to another account. They wanted her to log into her bank account to go through transactions. This is standard OP for real banks, and given that she'd just crawled out of bed to answer the phone, sh
  2. Thanks, yeah, I have the monogram F-4C kit I was trying to figure out what to do with. Along with some left over parts from a Hasegawa F-4, I thought I could come up with a reasonable approximation. Might just try to get my hands on the Academy F-4J though.
  3. Question for the Phantom experts. I'd like to build up a 1:48 F-4J Phantom in RAF markings. Although I need to source a kit first, I'm curious to know if there are any substantial differences between the USN and UK versions. I understand that a couple of the antenna are different, and there are some cockpit differences (which I probably wouldn't worry about too much), but are there any significant changes? Different wings? Horizontal stabs? Ejection seats? etc... thanks David
  4. I would have bought it in a heart beat but sadly, he doesn't ship to Canada. oh well, his loss.
  5. While I have no issue with these people being arrested, it's been known for years that FIFA is the most corrupt organization in sports, but I have not yet seen a single explanation as to how this is the jurisdiction of the US DOJ.
  6. Swiss Police confirm that, when arrested, all seven FIFA officials threw themselves on the ground and pretended to be injured.
  7. Hi Ken. Preordering is done via my webpage. If you're still seeing the Coming Soon wording, your cache need to be updated. Just right click on the page and select 'reload frame'. David

Hello everyone, I'm pleased to announce that the CF-18 Battle of Britain 2015 Air Demonstration scheme decal are now available for Pre-Order via the Canuck Models website. The decal printing is complete and final touches on the placement guide will be done this week. Shipment of the first sets should happen the week of June 1st. This is the 1:48 scale set. Information regarding other scales will come later in June. Special thank you to Mr. Richard Girouard and Mr. Dan McWilliams for their help and a really big thank you to the members of 3 AMS - C
  9. My Fathers new website for his Winter Valley Regional Railroad - A full basement G scale layout. http://wvrr.ca/ David
  10. I'm using whatever is on the website - hairold@frontier.com Maybe my emails are going into a spam filter. If you can contact me through my website - www.canuckmodels.com I'd be interested in seeing if you have the correct style as used by the RCAF. thanks David
  11. I started modelling when I was about 7 or 8. It was the Star Trek 3 Ship Set (AMT I believe). My dad built the Romulan Warbird but the Enterprise became a toy and I ran around the going Pew! Pew!. I still do have some of the parts from that model in my 'random plastics parts' bin. After that I became steadily more involved in the hobby, granted, my father being an extreme hard core model railroader and my mother the same with her doll houses, I sort of grew up around 'building hobbies'. I think the thing that bothered me most about that article was this guy's surprise that you could still buy
  12. Hi there. I guess I should be more clear. I'm looking for a resin option because I was interested in stocking some on my site. There are none in any of the CF-18 kits, and there doesn't seem to be a resin option available.
  13. I have no idea. Sounds like something we'd do but don't know.
  14. Hi there. Anyone out there make a CF-18 style travel pod in 1:48 scale? I've seen the AMS resin version on spruebrothers but it doesn't look like the right shape. And AMS never replies to my emails. thanks David
  15. Academy 1:48 ?? As far as I know, Academy only makes Hornets in 1:72 and 1:32. Hobby Boss, Hasegawa, and Revell make the 1:48 scale ones.
  16. Yes they did at least pay me. I emailed Raymond ages ago, no reply. Rick Chin was really the driver of that project, and when he passed it impacted some of the business agreements he'd help with.
  17. I know this has been mentioned on another thread but I figured I'd jump in here. Canuck Models has been granted a license for the CF-18 Demonstration Aircraft from 2010 and going forward. The 2010 and 2015 Demo's are being developed now with others to follow in due time. This is pretty exciting news for Canadian modellers and Canuck Models in particular as it has been a three year effort to clarify rights and licensing. I also am working on releasing 1:72 kits of these two schemes. I'm in the middle of negotiations with two manufactures so need to figure out who's plastics I'll be using. Onc
  18. I wanted to buy one of these just to get a copy of my own decals that are in the kit! I was supposed to get one of these kits as part of the license agreement for my artwork. Never did get one and I have no idea what my decals actually turned out like.
  19. I was very interested in being involved in this but when I last looked at the website they didn't ship to Canada.
  20. Love the 'Ookpik' squadron crest. That's gotta be one of the best ever.
  21. Some really nice photos. I so rarely see Canadian Hornets with the wing's folded.
  22. Oh, almost forgot. I'm going to need to purchase at least 1 Hasegawa CF-18/F-18A boxing in 1:48 scale. I know a couple of folks that have several in their stash (yeesss...you know who you are...) so if you would like to sell one - for cheap, please shoot me an email and let me know. thanks David
  23. Okay so here's a bit of irony for you. The reason that I've had such a difficult time getting replies to my enquirers from the DNDIPO is that they've been sending their replies to themselves. When I found out there was a new jet about to be announced, I followed up with an old email to them. It seems some of their previous replies had been going directly back to their own account, and never getting to me. So here is what I have received from them. ----------------------------------------------------- Okay so I've confirmed officially that the art belongs to the crown and is therefore cov
