  1. i have one almost converted into a voyageur so its covered in putty, but the fit of the kit so far has been excelent. you have to be carefull fitting the interior when the fuselage halves go together and make sure that you test fit the sponsons before glueing. all of the clear parts fit perfectly. i havent built up the rotor heads yet but they look good too
  2. well it is stalled pending the release of the zactoman bits :( i think we all dont mind waiting for a bit while you get stuff sorted out , i am really looking forward to seeing then up close. you can put me down for one nose and canopy set keep up the amazing work :D dylan
  3. well i asked a westjet pilot that exact question back when i used to fuel them, he said that it had something to do with the way they were purchased some were new builds (001-025)and the others were bought from a leasing company. this was his speculation but it makes scence to me hth dylan
  4. man this is gonna be great (rubbing his hands togeather with glee) i can hardly wait to get my hands on the nose and canopy sets!!! that thing is going to look awesome when it is done
  5. fantastic work !!!! mabye it will give me some motivation to start building mine
  6. the wheel wels are pretty much the same colour as the wing and the gear legs are silver hth dylan
  7. well that answers my next question can you post some links to some photos of the smaller details mentioned. the cockpit is handled (blackbox) and the canopy and radome are (hopefully)on the way soon. thanks for keeping us up to date on the progress zactoman and thanks to ken for showing us what needs fixing on the kit dylan out
  8. ok i'm ready to start on this beast i bought the thing just so i could use the zactoman canopy and nose set (masa naritas article last week gave some inspiration also)
  9. yep it is the same. the only diff. is the engines. my kit had square leading edges and needed lots of sanding to get the top of the wing to fit. but its gonna look really cool when i am done
  10. my new two bobs viper sheets and.... ZOTZ 1/48 VIGILANTE DECALS
  11. spent 5 years as an airframe tech in the canadian air force. then as a fueller at winnipeg airport for ten years. started school to get my ame liscence two weeks ago and i am working part time at the airline catering company at ywg
  12. i picked up some glad PRESS AND SEAL cling wrap the other day. the stuff is really good for covering large areas from overspray. I would not reccomend using it on bare metal or other delicate surfaces but it was really handy for covering up the wings on my 777 while i sprayed the fuselage. :) and at 3 bucks for a 100 foot roll you can't really go wrong
  13. the first is where do i sign up for this group build? and where do i get one of those cool banners? i have been bitten by the airliner bug at the right time it seems :) I am currently building a united 777 in 1/144 scale and i have an A-380/jbot canadian airlines decals on order.
  14. ansett it just looks way cool
