  1. Wow....! Excellent job on the whole kit! I really like how the front windscreen/cockpit looks! What parts did you use from the FM set? Why did you combine Ciro with CMK? Cheers JH
  2. It would be great to see Trumpeter scale up/down their 1/72-32 kits to 1/48. There is no way CopyBoss will do anything original, maybe rip-off the GP Demon next. If Kinetic would do a new(ish..) Thunderflash that would be great! A 1/48 Banshee is long overdue...Bueller..Bueller...?

    Mig-15

I have the Tamiya Mig-15 and the Trumpeter Mig-15. The Trumpeter kit is by far (!!) better and also very accurate. The Trumpeter 1/32 Mig-15 is terrible.
  4. Excellent photos. Thanks. Do you have any close-up shots of the F.1 flaps ans slats in the extended position? Cheers, and thanks for the fresh air. JH
  5. I cannot locate any pictures of a 2000N with Mica, only 2000D's and usually and -5 or -9 variant. For an 2000N the kit weapon load will be fine. For an 2000D you will need to find suitalbe weapons elsewhere. Some sources are: Heller Jaguar A, Revell Rafale, Skyraider Models. What US LGBs do they carry, maybe something from a Hasegawa set might be suitable?
  6. I saw one in the box not long ago, I would not buy it. A very basic resin kit, and seems to be closer to the quality of resin kits from 15 years ago. It will require alot of love, sanding and detailing, to get it anywhere near the quality a plastic kit. No I am not being critical, only realistic. Most of the Heritage Aviation stuff is very basic, but they do offer a few unique items that nobody else does. Aconcagua Models from Argentina accounced a 1/48 Pucara a while ago, it might be better to wait for that, if it ever comes out?
  7. Strange... Mine are all about the quality, in Heller, Airfix, and Eduard boxings...?
  8. I have the Eduard and Heller kits. The D/N is the Heller N kit, no changes in quailty or mould fixes. The C due next year will be the Heller C, it is far better than the Italeri/Esci kit, it will also be limited to the few Heller kits Eduard can find. The Kits are "Limited Edition" partly because Heller is not producing anymore kits at thie time since they are bankrupt (that sucks). Eduard cannot get any additional kits, Heller retains the moulds.

    MiG-25pd

Exactly, the world NEEDS more nipples. Everybody has two, now we can have more!

When are we going to get a modern 1/48 kit?
  11. I have a Hasegawa TF-104G that I wish to make into Canadain F-104D. I understand the Can F-104D were very similar for the TF-104G, but what cockpit set would be more accurate, the Avionix Tf-104 set of the Aries TF-104G set? Are there any other changes that I need to make? Cheers JH
  12. This is not a good sign... I bought two kits from him and they where slow in arriving as well, and I live in the SAME state....? I took about a month to complete. He gave me a fair deal on the two kits with some aftermarket. One kit was in great shape, but did not mention (or list in his ad) the condition of the other kit as previously assembled with cracked canopy parts. Oh well, next time I will ask more questions. Hopefully your trade works out.
  13. Drop the "s" from the URL address. You might be better off getting the sets directly from Avionix or maybe from Greatmodels.com. Within Canada try: http://members.shaw.ca/unclebills/
  14. I am glad to have a Mig-23 set. Kazan did an amazing job, and for a 1 man business, almost beyond belief. Making after market items of that calibur is a tough job and often thankless. I seriously doubt the Kazan will re-do the sets, unless significant profit is possible. In todays market a comparable limited set would sell, at least, in the $100 range, IMHO. I wonder how many are willing to pay that much, not enouph to set-up another run is my guess. Gone for good until Trumpeter makes a decent Mig-23/27.
  15. Does anyone know what changes, if any, had been made to the cockpit? Any photos out there? :-)
  16. I have a Pro Mod one for sale, if the OP is looking? http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....=133011&hl=
  17. Does anyone have an Airfix Viggen (esci re-issue). I am looking for the part number of the two canopy parts and I recently got a kit that has both parts broken. Hopefully by contacting Airfix, I can get replacements. Thanks
  18. Thanks Alfonse For getting decals plus the F-5 parts! Another outstanding "bay-area" ARC member. Now, get that F-16 done! :)
  19. by Leading Edge for CF-5s. Huge thanks to Mike O, and also thanks for the reference I was hunting for. Cheers JH :)
  20. Hopefully Begemot does some markings. There has not been much new Fulcrum stuff...? I have their Su-15 sheet and the Mig21 data sheet, both very nice.
  21. Here is a photo of the Super Scale #48-405 "Mig-29 Fulcrums" decal sheet. As you can see it comes with stencil data, plus markings for:Syria, U.S.S.R (OKB test and Soviet Guards), Yugoslavia, East Germany, and Unified Germany. Sorry no "315" markings.
