  6. The 1/24 Airfix Mossie and I am stunned. Aside from being huge, the detail level far surpassed my expectations. Rocky
  7. Outstanding job and your painting is excellent! Rocky
  8. The liquid masks work great for small areas, such as landing lights. I only build in 1/24 or1/32 so I only use them for small areas.
  9. Eric, This is the best Spit I have seen! Brilliant job. Please share your painting techniques. Rocky
  10. Those engines look nice and so does the plumbing! Rocky
  11. I will be doing the FB in either No 487 or 143 Sqn markings.
  12. OK, the Tamiya Spit is here (2) and the Mossie is on the way. I am planning on Tamiya XF-81, 82 & 83 for the Spit exterior. I have every reference book for US & Luftwaffe AC, but I am left handed when it comes to the UK AC. BTW, I have ordered the VM decals, GF gear and everything else I could find for the Spit! I will, however, be painting the roundels! I found some painting masks that I did n
  13. Tamiya decals always seem to dissapoint. Very nice build. Rocky
  14. Many thanks Gregg! I spent a great deal of time on the pit and the seats. I learned a lot too. Rocky
  15. Mike, I don't know how how I missed this thread? Stunning and fascinating! This is a work of art! Rocky
  16. I was really looking forward to this kit but you have pointed out a few short comings.
  17. Marcel, Many thanks! I believe that I can paint, but it is important to have a nice canvas first. The cockpit is beyond words and this kit craves it. Tamiya's fit and finish is perfect, but the AM resin available puts this kit at the forefront. Maybe thats why I have two more on the shelf! Rocky
  18. I have been watching closely and I am curious to know what you "owners think." Is it a buy now or wait for AM gear to appear? TIA Rocky
