I really see where you use information. Your outstanding Mosquito, Mustang and Corsair builds show that you really research and study your subjects. So you gather lots of information. I can appreciate that there is more info out there. My finding with more information as it relates to modelling is it rarely answers questions or mysteries, it only creates more questions and mysteries (what paint is the best olive drab?). I am going for an F-16A from the 906TFG out of Wright-Patt AFB. Reserve unit that was there when I was stationed there in the 80's. I have been collecting the necessary ingredients to make it a proper A model. Here is a sample. The kit I am starting with- Hasegawa F-16N #V7 The appropriate smaller horizontal stabs from Quickboost, ACES seat and a nice looking burner can. The Academy F-16 kit is donating an appropriate vertical stab. Two Bobs stencil decals This is what I am hoping for:

Hi Dutch, Mr Hobby/Mr Color #74 Air Superiority Blue. My first time using that paint. I believe it is an acrylic lacquer which I have not used before and had to experiment with thinners. Seemed to not work well with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Then I tried lacquer thinner, that worked. Geoff M

I have decals for a Falcon from the 906 TFG. It is an A model. So, it will require some backdating using a Hasegawa or Tamiya C model. I have built many Hasegawa F-16's but I have not done a Tamiya yet. I don't know if I want to try to modify a great kit like a Tamiya and make a mess of it. I guess I will need some AM stuff too! I get what Dave Roof is saying about social media, and I agree that this is a social media site. But ARC has a very limited scope, mainly aircraft modeling (sorry all you armor, ship, car and figure modelers). Which makes it easy to find what you are interested in and learn more about. I would like to hear more about how those who use facebook use it for modelling purposes and how to avoid the pitfalls. Geoff M
