Hey guys, Having no knowledge whatsoever about the C-130, I'm trusting you guys to help me on this one. 😊 I'm thinking about the possibility to convert the Zvezda 1/72 C-130J-30 into a standard C-130J, wanting to do the current Blue Angels "Fat Albert". I can see the fuselage has to been shortened, but how much and where? Any other things that needs to be changed/addressed? Are there any decals available for the current Blue Angels C-130J? Thanks in advance! Regards, Nick

Hello guys, Here's my last completed model, the Zvezda, 1/48 Lavochkin La-5FN, white 22, from 2 GIAP (Aviation regiment of the Guard). The yellow scribing reads "Mongolsky Arat", workers of Mongolia, whose donation funded 12 aircrafts in the squadron. This the first of the Zvezda's "new tooling", and was build out of the box, decals from the Avalon range. Quite easy build but for the soft plastic and the engine cowling is a bit tricky, as there are lots of parts to align. Paints from the Gunze acryl range, various mixes of RLM76 as basis, with black and blue.

I'm calling it finished...... It's a great kit - if a little 'over engineered', but it looks good when finished..... Close up of the bridge and two missile launch tubes... The bow - with optional open torpedo loading hatch.... The rear end - with replacement 3d-printed props.... It's a big beast - and is being upgraded and kept in service to replace the too-expensive Typhoons. The Delta's are named after Russian cities - in this case Tula - note

The latest 1/350 scale submarine kit from Zvezda is the massive Delta IV (Delfin) class of Russian SSBN.... Moulded in black plastic, the lower hull is made up from three sections - two lower vertically split sides plus a top.... The twin five-bladed propellers each have to made up from a central shaft - to which are attached the five separate scimitar-shaped blades The missile casing is also separate - made up from two side panels (below) and a top section (above)... This complex hull construction would

Logging my Zvezda SU-33 build. I am doing a Yellow 13 themed build instead of the standard blue/gray Russian naval paint job. For those who do not know, Yellow 13 is the main "boss" adversary in the Ace Combat 4 video game. In the game, his (and his squadron's) planes are listed as SU-37's, but in reality they are SU-33's. All glued up and in major need of putty and sanding all over the place. The belly, complete with intakes... The intakes will need a fiar bit of putty and sanding to get them looking right. Bit of a rushed job on the cockpit. Did

Hi everyone! Here's my first finished build of 2018. Yeah, I'd normally have 3 or 4 finished by now, but life got in a way a bit :D Here's the link to the in-progress thread: More about the model and full gallery at my blog: https://vvsmodelling.com/2018/03/25/yakovlev-yak-130-mitten/

Hi everyone! New project on the bench - Zvezda's 1:72 Yak-130. I wanted to build a model of this aircraft since I first saw it at MAKS, and luckily Zvezda fulfilled my wish. Inspecting the instructions, one can see that the construction starts with the rear of the aircraft and it's quite complicated - at least on paper. On the other hand, the complex break down ensures the correct shapes of the full length jet intakes among other things. Double S-curvature of the intakes (vertical and lateral) is faithfully reproduced along with the turbine blades. I have only fill

Hello friends Wanting to expand my collection of the Russian Navy I decided to make this model. It is of the Zvezda brand at 1/350 scale which in my opinion comes quite well done. I really liked making this model for all the details that have been made. https://youtu.be/t-zOHhYKNNE Greetings and I hope you like it

I would like to present you my latest model: Su-33 Flanker D made of Zvezda kit. The kit is really nice: perfect fitted, with nice details, but with few minor issues (coarse surface on engine cowlings, wide and shallow panel lines etc.). Generally work was just a real fun. This model was commission build, so I had to prepare the stand on my own. I used board from carpenter, then I painted it, prepared masks for text, painted it, and then inserted plexi rods, curved in boiling water. For this Su-33 I used Gunze, Tamiya, Alclad and Mr. Paint paints, no additional afe

haven't been able to do anything worthwhile for the past month due to heat waves, now the temp is going down i am slowly picking up pace. this is zvezda's 3632 bmw r12 with driver and officer boxing. lovely kit, no issues. fuel drum and jerry cans are from tamiyas german fuel drums set, the grass is cut from modelscene's early summer with calc stones matting, earth is tamiya's earth paste. tiny amount of washes and pigments as usual. enjoy

AKA The Queen Of The Skies. Kit is from Zvezda in 1/144, very good engineering and fit but with very bad decals which doesn’t fit the kit in most places due to the intricate nature of the aircrafts paint scheme.

Hi everyone! Here's my latest project done. This is the excellent Zvezda 1:72 MiG-29 in S model (izdeliye 9.13) built in the markings of aerobatic group Strizhi (Swifts). The model was built for "Build a Bear Group Build" currently running here at ARC. You can access full article with photogallery here: https://vvsmodelling.com/2016/10/23/mig-29-9-13-fulcrum-c-swifts/

After finally finishing the MiG-25RBF conversion, I've finally gotten around to building Zvezda's 1/72 MiG-29. I don't know if it's just me, but this kit practically snaps together, and with little seam lines to show for it. It seems like it'll need a fraction of the filler than your usual kit needs, let alone ICM's MiG-29 9-13. I don't know how it compares to Great Wall Hobby's 1/48 9-13 (mine is still collecting dust, sadly) but this kit is a breeze so far. I haven't seen much in the way of completed builds, though. Probably not looking hard enough.
