SCOUT712
Are there any pics in existence of the "Blue Max" Phantom, 63-7500? The only reference I've ever found of it is the Fox One sheet. Surely a scheme that neat has something out there? There is one close up of the nose with Col Blesse in front and one color pic of the whole jet ( but scanned the wrong way around) in Lou Drendels "... and kill Migs" SCOUT

ikar
Here's a "D" model. Look at the weapons it's carrying. Why the yellow markings? I thought it might be a chaff bomber and the yellow are chaff cartridges built into a hollow shape. Here's another aircraft from the 34th TFS after they had to give op their "E" models for "D"s. viper50
This has to be one of the most colorful Phantoms ever painted. Another airshow display. Don M.

Looks like SUU-42 CBUs Hard to tell, but might be a Pave Sword laser tracker pod under the fuselage. Any chance of a larger scan? bill
ikar
I'm pretty sure it's a ECM pod in the forward sparrow well. I'll see if I can make it bigger. Just not sure how.

Sig Saur & Son
This has to be one of the most colorful Phantoms ever painted. Another airshow display. Don M. Painted by the very talented Don 'Hawkeye' Spering who also dressed up several other aircraft just prior to their retirement.

Fiddler
My eye fell on the AGM-45 Shrike training round on the outer wing pylon, Is it normal that it was painted green? And the pylon itself, there's an adaptor to get the shrike loaded which looks like specific for Shrikes (maybe HARM also) but surely it's different to normal outer wingpylon adaptors, ain't it? Super shot by the way :D Edited February 3, 2008 by Fiddler

jinxx1
Your killin me Cliff, I had this one up for scanning. :D Just an FYI it crashed September 1987 Oops! Sorry Bill  That was from the first trip to Nellis. It was just such a neat shot I couldn't resist. Kind of coincidental, that Marine VC-118B (128426) that we shot transient about 1979 burned up at Alameda in 1980.
